PPI Reclaiming discussion Part III

Thats what Turboman is saying First plus's interest rates have gone up and up ,so he was trying to get as clear a picture as possible.
Dont get so stressed there is no need and does your health no good:A
Pinknico, last night all this started when I had been trying to help tyler and I knew that tyler did not have the agreements or the figures so it should have ended there until they had them from the bank.
Then Turboman started asking etc and there was confusion over the loans - being one or two and then when I tried to say nothing could be worked without the figures it all went haywire.
I am now wondering if Di has asked Turbo about her eloan and the fact that I say there is only "x" amount due back (which I stand by!!) and Turbo has worked this out different etc...
I am pleased of help but like I say, if a loan is settled (as Di's was)then the settlement matters or the poster has not got figures (as tyler did not but is requesting them) then until they have nothing can be WORKED out.
I have given lots of help on here and most of the help is not about working out figures. Its about other things and I refuse to work something out like in the method that Tiggrae did and then confuse people into believing that is what they are actually getting back when infact its not.
Turboman has just been over sensitive. I appreciate help, I loved it when singlep and troness came on (both very informative!!) and professional but they have stopped coming on now as the thread is so hard to follow. Its got more like a chat thread sometimes on here... I find it hard to keep up sometimes. Also when we have been away and then ask a poster the same things as they have posted already we on here (cause this is a running thread and not individual like some forums) have to click on their name and look back ourselves. That again is time consuming but it helps as things can be lost after just a couple of hours on here by the chat going on.
I will take a break today for a few hours but will be back on. I am sorry if anyone has taken offence, especially Di's friend turboman. I have already said that I would post a loan of mine that has been redressed and see if Turbo comes up with the same amount as caclulated by the FOS and also Co-op. I did argue this one and was told by FOS that this is the method they use and I now can see they are right. I was not slated by the FOS for trying to understand either.0 -

Marshallka without yours and others knowledge on here I wouldnt have had the balls to try and claim my PPi back as I just wouldnt have known where to start.
Once I knew I wasnt the only one in this situation it gave me the strength to fight it and I will carry on fighting till I get whats mine but I may still need your advice from time to time if thats ok0 -

hi all just a quick question please when u have a loan and u haven't finished paying i understand so far that if ur claim is successful u will be paid back what u have paid in ppi.The loan then gets redone without the ppi and then the rest of the ppi gets taken off the redone amount am i right or wrong.i dont no if when u have a single premuim if u pay all the premium at the start of the loan but u still pay it in the monthly amount am confused
If the loan is ongoing they can pay you back the PPI and interest you have actually paid out already and then take the remaining off the loan when its redone.0 -
marshallka wrote: »Thanks for that tyler. I was only trying to tell turbo last night that without the figures we could do nothing but he took offence that I was trying to knock what he was doing. I was not, I do not like falling out with anyone on here. It upsets me and I always try to help the best I can. I hope you and others can see that. Thanks for making me feel welcome again...;)
No probs we dont wanna lose you on here.
Am signing off for a bit now. Ive got rid of my son for a few hours, hes gone to my mums as I'm having sky+ fitted today and need to tidy up before the engineer gets here.
Keep smiling everyone0 -

so ur saying mashallka that if say u have 2000 left then they redo the loan with out ppi say 500 off then the 1500 they will take off the rest of the ppi off that. what am confused about is that if its single premium and we pay it at the start of the loan why do we pay it back monthly thanks in advance.0 -
Hiya darlings.....:A
And Marshallka you have not offended anyone.:A X
I have not read all the posts thoroughly yet, only very quickly, and seem to think the confusion just comes down to calculations on both settled and non-settled loans, where the calculations are obviously then worked out differently, now I say each time, I am hopeless with maths and always happy to have some help when it comes to these issues.;)
Now mine so far (my loans personally are all settled), none active, where mine have always been worked out for me on the calculations for a settled loan.
I became a member on PAG last year, when this was worked out for me on the Nemo loan, and what I received back was the amount that was worked out for me by a member on PAG, cannot remember who for definate done this for me, and as the site as been updated on many occasions I do not have all the posts to confirm this any longer.
Turbo is a member on many sites, known again as Turbo or calculator, where he steps in and helps where he can, around his family life, plus grand children, he is always happy to help out where he can, but this time I see this is now about active loans/refunds etc, and when there are other loans included as well such as consolidation loans etc...........
Like everyone says here, its good to compare at the end of the result as well, see if there is any difference at the end of it - again depending it settled or active loan.;)
I must get back to that ironing.....almost there though.;)
Marshallka your a star and remember that.:A XXThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
