Was not aware of the second part of that. I miss the thread when I have been working away. No wonder you steaming. I would be too. That is inconsiderate.:D
Not my fault though... :D .
  • I've just been successful with my Egg PPI claim and they have offered me £1428 but it says "this amount has been credited to your Egg Loan, in line with Egg's procedures"

Is there any way of getting this back as cash - as I'm a little bit strapped for it at the moment and £1400 would come in very handy or is this the only way Egg will refund the amount?

Was your Egg loan in arrears at all?? Also is this the actual amount you have ALREADY paid to egg for the PPI or is it an amount that you would have been due to pay had the loan continued with the PPI?

If you have arrears then as far as I am aware they are allowed to do this but if you have paid to date and this is the amount you have already paid out then you can argue this and ask that this be paid back to you as a cheque as you have been deprived of these monies.
  • Any advice with EGG on reclaiming PPI on loans.

I didn't want the PPI when I took out my loan (which is now paid off), so am in the process of reclaiming. Sent template 1 and received letter back saying looking into it will reply within 8 weeks. 2nd letter was received basically saying - go away you can't claim PPI back along with a recording of my conversation when I accepted the PPI (with advisor no 2) at the loan completion part of the process. What is missing is the first part of the conversation with advisor no 1 when I told him I didn't want the PPI. Has anyone else had this problem? I am about to send template 2 and have put in that part of the conversation is missing.
Advice anyone? are they just trying to fob me off?

My grandmother started walking five miles a day when she was 60. Now she's 97 years old and we don't know where the hell she is.
