Do you mean take meds or take down your tree ?...... , I'm taking down my tree and everything this afternoon, because of the dust it creates now the holidays are almost over.;)

Some people say its bad luck but I don't believe in that myself.

I know someone who have left theirs up all year

I love the xmas and new year period but always glad when its done with, as you know it can be very tiring....;) .

I take BP meds and have done since I was 30 and started with BP when 21. I have to take them just like you. Yes, I take my tree down but the dusters are in my hand as no way would my son dust for me on New Years Day (or any other come to think of it without face pulling and making me feel like an evil mother for asking when I am home all day!! ). I have just asked him to take a bucket of rubble out and that was asking too much as he went out last night. You are very, very lucky DI...;) . My son is home all day too but the WORK is mine...

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Ha! Like me then! I had a ticket for Barry White supported by Earth Wind and Fire at the SECC. Same day it came there was another letter saying, "Barry White will not be performing due to back pain". He never toured again. I love Barry White!
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!

Yeah I remember you saying now about the BP.

That's another thing that goes against people on the insurance, especially life insurance..... .

I am lucky really, even the youngest is always making me cuppa's.;)
Now that its back to school next week for most, its back to work again with Daniel at home, but he does look forward to that, he has been sorting out all his new exercise books bless .....:A .

Mencap should be contacting me as well next week, and make an arrangement for an home visit, Kathy the one I know from there is very nice, and said she is going to see if there is anything they can do to help, so we will soon know.;)

Jamie is back in work tomorrow, his contract is only until March with the DWP, but he is hoping for another, they have given him 3 contracts so far, and if anything perm comes up he wants to apply, his own superviser is hoping either another contract will come up for him or a perm post, so fingers crossed, then its now just hubby.;)

    Hi Toffee Penny

Just to say I have claimed, for a friend credit card PPI back on an A and L (MBNA) that was ticked for PPI and had was self employed. This went to FOS but before it was assigned to an Adjudicator A and L wrote and said they would settle:confused: got back all charges plus interest cumulative which was a nice surprise.

I would still go ahead with it. Wait until you see the original documentation. It may not cover you. They cannot hide behind their paperwork.

Let us know when you see the agreement.:D

Just looked at CC agreement I have here which am claiming back for somebody and you have to OPT OUT of the PPI with Barclaycard so yours may be the same. Good Luck

Thanks for the encouraging post Maxdp ;) it amuses me that creditors tend to send the same letter out in their response to a ppi claim. I am researching the net to find others in similar situations (quite sad really but this ppi thing is bugging me and knowledge is power as they say  ) we have nothing to lose and a few quid to gain so we are prepared to go to the FOS, it's free to do so!

However don't want to look a total prat so need as much proof as I can get. So I will send a SAR request to Barclaycard, some applications are very misleading as you say Max and will state 'tick here if you do not want insurance' and most will leave blank thinking 'I don't want insurance' I have seen an application form with 'don't sign up without it' near a ppi box. I think this is very misleading so I want to see OH application form.

Now I have found others having been sent the same letter but with date changes relevant to them it makes us want to fight it even more :D

Happy new year to everyone on this thread!
