  • Hi guys,

Have only just started posting on here, but wanted to share a positive PPI story for you. Thanks to this website I managed to get OH to write to HSBC about loans he had had with with them over the years, I followed all the templates from here and when I was finding out what he had had over the years, it turned out he had 6 loans with them on about 3 years, each time adding bits on and each time adding a new PPI

After first letter to them they agreed to refund 5 out of the 6, all the low value ones, but refused on the largest loan which was for £13k, so we wrote back but they still refused to pay. So sent off the forms to the FO, not expecting any joy, as HSBC had been adamant they had done nothing wrong, despite them insisting my OH had the PPI otherwise he wouldnt be able to have the loan.....

Then after a couple of months, he received a call from HSBC offering him almost £3k for the loan after all, so a big thank you to the FO and for those of you who feel like giving up or wonder if its worth it, for the cost of a few stamps I would say so!

Good luck to all those going for it and best wishes for 2009

Thanks for posting this Blueisthecolour (but red is really - a Stokie supporter but used to be when I was very little a Blueisthecolour- football is the game, we're all etc etc etc. and I loved the song...) So glad you have got this sorted and people should not ever give up in claiming. Its just goes to show how dertermination can win. Big congrats...:j
