    how much would that total?
or would you need the APR rate for the loans?
You would get back if missold the amount of the PPI less whatever rebate you had if you settled early plus 8% statutory interest. How this is worked out properly is they look at the loan and repayments with the PPI and the settlement and then look at the loan without the PPI and whatever the settlement would have been and take one from the other (as settlements are different depending which regs are used etc) and pay 8% stat on top.

Having looked through the paperwork it was Barclays Ireland who supplied the PPI, will i have to write to them?.
They didn't give an option on the phone and just added it anyway.
Jinxy, you would write to the seller of the PPI and not the actual insurer here. Did you take the loan direct with Firstplus or was there a broker involved in the sale. I think where you say that it was Barclays Ireland, then this is the actual insurer and you are wasting time writing to them.

Thank you all for you help, I will get writing and keep you posted on how I get on.
Jinxy, you do not write to Barclays Ireland as this is the insurer. You write to whoever sold the insurance. I hope you come on again and see this.

    Good luck;)

    Just a quick ?
How long after recieving an letter saying they have recieved my claim should I wait before sending next letter?
You have to give them 8 weeks in all from the date of your very first letter to them. Send everything recorded delivery too so you have proof of it.

Good luck and keep us posted.;)

Marshallka did you notice my post about Hamilton earlier hun?

These were the details I was waiting for from hfc/Endeavour.;)
Yeah I have looked. Are you going to get in touch with FOS now or have you got to complain to them yourself first as you have to give them a chance.

Yey I won 5 out of 6 games lol :j :j  lol, that was fun, and with the real buzzers they have in family fortunes as well, wish it were real money we were winning though lol.:D

I have emailed the FOS just to let he know but don't think they are there until Monday now, this baffles me because first of all the FOS did send the details off to Hamilton on our behalf, they got back to the FOS and not me to tell them its HFC and not them but the docs received today only mentions Hamilton as they are linked/grouped to Endeavour......

Glad you are having fun Di...;) . I also need to email the FOS I think or maybe better to wait for the final response from my insurer (Lloyds!!) as they said I would get one within 14 days of the other letter dated about 23rd December. Maybe better to wait to then.. . When FOS wrote to me though they gave me to the 6th Jan to get back to them otherwise they would close my complaint with FIrstplus so maybe I ought to keep that one open somehow as I think it will go back to them anyway.

God this is all so confusing.
