Well did mention this earlier but I have today received a letter from the FOS about the unfair rebate that I received from Firstplus and they say they have written to LLoyds on my behalf and I should hear from them real soon. I have no idea what they have said my complaint is about but I just hope they have stipulated that I was complaining about there being no cancellation on the policy other than the rule of 78, not even a 14 or 30 day cancellation and that I find unfair and also the rebate was determined by the rule of 78 but first they take so much away from this and then apply the rule of 78 and this is so unfair.... They have asked me if they can close the complaint against Firstplus now and I have until 16th January to do this but I think Firstplus are to blame in some of this. They will most probably get away with it as the FOS are not listening to any of the other bits of my complaints but I really wish everyone with Firstplus complaints better luck than me and each and every one that wins against them will give me a little bit of pleasure too although the money will not be in my pocket but the taking back from them is just as pleasureable.0

They go on to say that as the complaint is about unfair rebate its and underwriting issue and that they cannot take this any further with Firstplus as the loan provider.
It says however, if you belieive that we have not fully addressed your complaint with Firstplus please let us know.
With this in mind the Society of LLoyds will be in touch with you shortly to acknowledge the complaint and to explain its complaints handling procedure. We ask that you keep us fully update on its investigations into your complaint. As this will help to ensure that there are no delays in progressing your complaint if the matter cannot be resolved through the society of Lloyds internal complaints handling procedure.
Doesn't sound very promising to me...0 -

I hope this gets sorted out then hun, now reading that is almost the same as what I received from them when they stated they sent my details to HFC and they will get back to me and for me to keep the FOS updated of the progress of this, but you know what happened about mine, they keep going back to Endeavour everytime......
Hope you get luck with this Marshallka.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi
My husband has PPI on his credit card and we received a response today after the first template letter sent. They do not believe he has been missold and have attached a copy of a database print out with all his details on. The print out states it was an internet application and just says payment protection insurance, it does not say that this was requested by him there are no ticks etc it merely states it is attached to his card. They also stated he was sent a copy of the terms and conditions. Should we now ask for proof of him requesting this? What is the best way forward? The card dates back to 2002, is anyone aware whether Egg had a preticked opt box at this tim?
Thanks guys.Nyks Interest Beater £29/£2600 -
I've just received my December statement for my card, I am trying to reclaim my PPI, and have noticed that they have stopped charging me for it, does this mean that something is finally happening?
Does anyone know which bank backs M & S Money?0 -
