  • Hi all. Got a letter back from Egg who are telling me that the PPI cover was opted in, although they have sent through a CCA which they say would have said 'none' on it. They say that at the time of the online application I would have been prompted to read through a copy of the terms and conditions of the cover and then had the option to select the cover in question. They asked me to prove that this was not the case, although this was in June 01 so obviously I'd be struggling to do that! LOL!
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!

I know with our Firstplus one we never saw the PPI loan money as it was a consolidation and they paid what loans/debts we had and then the other couple of hundred quid to us. This is what single premiums are. They are lump sum payments by way of a loan... :D . Still not heard anything from my Firstplus unfair rebate one but they have said it will be a few more MONTHS in the email they sent on 1st December... . At least they have told me that and I will just have to wait i suppose.

Di look in the loft or the back of the drawer you know the one. When you pull the drawer out it is stuffed down the back on the carpet. Ombudsmen obviously think you have a case then/ Lloyds are well dodgy I cannot believe what they have sold my business partner and partner over the years. About 8 policies and none cover cause we do not necessarily work 16 hours per weeks. We also had critical illness cover, life cover mortgage cover and every credit card and loan was covered with PPI. We were not aware ( both business and personal) OMG can you believe it we were so well covered that if someone had died we would have been rolling in it. But not covered for health issues cause our bank manager told us that the health issues were not a problem and would be covered.

Non advised sales which were actually advised sales:confused: from 2004. hmmmmmmm

Do not believe them cause most of their stuff was pre ticked. They are hiding behind small print. I would claim this is the usual tactic

So saying this have not read all your other stuff on here so am sure a regular will give you more informed advice.

Just get cross cause it is the same load of old rubbish.
