What about the bonus'es staff have made out of selling these policies. Like you say if the banks had been fair there would be no need for any of this. Stop blaming us because you have lost your job. Although I sympathise with you it is because of the greed by the fat cats who run the banks that have caused you and many others to lose their jobs. I agree with Marshallka what goes around comes around. This is an excellent site so don't knock it0 -
Sorry, please see below0

Well I sent them my first letter off with my £1 postal order (recorded delivery) to the Sheffield finance branch, I also put the date on and in bold underlined righting put 12 working days to send me my information under section 77 of the consumer credit act.
I did the bold underlined thing like they would do me if a missed a payment:rotfl:
Anyway that was sent on the 29th of Nov, Therefore today is the last day! I will be ringing tomorrow if nothing comes through the post.
Who do I threaten them with?0 -
Hi everyone,
after long consideration i have finally decided to reclaim my ppi form Capital One and Adams Card (Creation Financial Services Limited) The problem is i do not know when the Payment Protection was bought in both cases. I don't keep the first few statements for the Capital One card (funny i found a letter from them stating PPI will be free of charge from September 2007 but still get charged) So my questions here are what should i put as a start date for the PProtections. Can they refuse to pay it back if i don't put the correct date (if i put as a start date the day i got the card but the PPI was purchased later)
Sorry if sounds too complicated. Any advice much appreciated.0 -

Its not really up to you to prove anything, its up to them to prove it was not missold to you. They should have records of what they had you down as earning or working etc. I would just send them another letter again and tell them your complaint still stands.
Thanks for your reply hun. What do you reckon I should say in this letter? I am happy to wait until I get the letter from NI and I am also going up to see my MP on friday to see if they can help at all with the Miss Selfridge part......I am determined!!!

Hi hun
Ring them today if its not in today's post see what they say.
You can always contact the Information Commissioners office I believe here:
http://www.ico.gov.uk/complaints.aspx
Check out the link above and you should find a contact number, maybe others here may have an idea on this one for you as well, but if I was expecting something and it did not arrive on the timescale given I would not leave it there, afterall you may require what you asked for to help you move on with a claim.
Good luck.;)

Hi there
I would for a start try to gather as much information and paperwork as you can first, because if this went to the Financial Ombudsman service, this will act as evidence to support your case, although not too much of it as it can become complicated.
Write to the ones who arranged this for you and request copies of all paperwork, such as agreement/terms & conds etc, ask them on the phone if there is a charge for these couple of items first, then put it into writing giving them 12 days to supply the documents.
Post by recorded delivery for your proof.
However, the only other way you will get hold of all the information is by requesting a SAR, known as a Subject Access Request, where they have 40 days to supply everything they have on that account, including emails, phone calls if any etc. But there is a £10 charge for the SAR ,by Cheque or postal order.
If you require the SAR template, let us know where one of us will be happy to post up for you, but try to cheaper option first by ringing them ask them if there is a charge if they supply a copy of the agreement etc and also request in the same letter for a copy of breakdown/calculations, you can always post them on here then and see what is what with the PPI.
Good luck;)

Morning there di
Well todays the crunch Day... Apart from a letter from HFC bank about 4 weeks ago saying they are looking into the claim I have heard nothing. I have got Letter No. 2 Printed, in the envelope with a copy of letter no.1. If I haven't had anything in the post today I will be trotting down to the post office to send this recorded delivery.
Question is, if I haven't heard anything within 14 days, I will be away at a family get together (festive period). Should I hold off contacting the FO until I get back on the Second Jan?0
