    Hi there
Blimey a year and still waiting to be passed on to a Adjudicator ?

Hun I know they have very high volumes of these complaints but still a year and still waiting is pathetic.
Give them a ring if you have not heard anything and if your struggling financially or if your financial circumstances have worsened since your complaint has been with them, let them know, they may push this on for you.

When was the last time you heard from them hun?

Thanks for your reply, I have been calling them evry fortnight on average really. I've asked about pushing it through on the grounds that I'm paying more for my barclays loan due to the added PPI and interest rates etc, but they say because I'm not in arrears or being taken to court it does not count as special circumstances. I thought it would all be sorted before xmas but no hope. They had all the files since the summer so I don't know what the delay is?

So sorry to hear that, even though they should know this but tell them its affecting you financially and its very distressing, and the way its going it could possibly take you into arrears, just a suggestion, but its such a long time you have been waiting, and hold-up wise I only know they are over-run with these complaints, but it can be so annoying, one of my complaints with the FOS had taken 14 months from start to finish but that is with being paid out.
Have you actually asked them what the delay is hun?
Whether or not they will confirm this I do not know, but I do really feel for you waiting all this long.

I would be emailing them every other day if waiting this long, sometimes we have to keep on at them, I know our Marshallka would say the same too.

Hopefully if someone knows what the delay is they will post up, but all I know is that its due to high numbers of these complaints, - yet they supposed to have had taken on new adjudicators the last few months......

Keep at them hun and please let us know, thanks and fingers crossed for you.

Hi all, i haven't been on for a while. Wondered if any one has experienced the delays with FOS that I am. Got 3 clains with them, Barclays and 2 with Egg cards that were logged nearly a year ago. They are all wiating for adjudicators. All FOS will say to me is that once they are allocated they will let me know. Has anyone experienced the same sort of delays and once they are allocated how long do they take to give an answer, they've recieved all the files from Barclays and Egg. Thanks. Well done Liani.
I think lots are experiencing delays here. Its now about 6 to 9 months wait and is far too long. I myself have been messed about with one complaint for over 6 months now and still no where near an adjudicator stage. Just keep ringing them and emailing them too if you are experiencing hardship. It may be fast tracked for you...

    Thanks for that Di.
I do definatley recall on the 1st loan being told that I had to have the PPP, as I recall receiving all the paperwork and didnt sign to accept the PPP. I subsequently got a phone call from First plus telling me that they could not complete the loan as I hadnt signed for the PPP and I could only have the loan if I did. I have also noticed on the original paerwork from 2006 that the ppp is in my name only and the loan was in joint names, which doesnt seem right either.

I have written a letter which I intend to post in the morning.

Arr, right you were missold here then. I did not understand your first question as it seemed to be about the loan settlement.

Did you use a broker here or did you get sold this by FIrstplus on the first loan... I know you would have gone through Firstplus on the top up but if you used a broker in the beginning it may be two different complaints.

Just take a look at the link here and see what you can add and delete from the letter that you send. There is also a template letter on there too but sometimes it can be better to make your own up from this.

You then write to the firm that actually made the sale of the PPI to you if this is different from the lender and don't forget to send this recorded delivery so you always a proof and dates etc.

After that you have to give them 8 weeks for a full and final response. In this time it is usual to get a response of "sorry we sold this to you fairly" but you then respond to this and reiterate your complaint again. The next time they write they either give you a final response which you would need in order to take this complaint to the FOS or offer to settle.

Hi Marie, reading this it seems like FIrstplus definately sold you the first PPI as well as the second if they were the ones that rang you to tell you about ticking the box for the PPI. This seems similar to my loan with Firstplus here. I don't recall using a broker at all but they say I did and also I can recall being told similar from Firstplus as on my application it was without the PPI and over a certain amount of months and then when i got the loan I got an extra 40 months added on and PPI too.

Don't be fobbed off if you did use a broker that they sold the PPI to you as you have stated that THEY rang you. You could always get proof of this by requesting a SAR from them which would include copies of the phone calls you had with them and this should be included on the tape.

If you do go the SAR way then let us know...

    Otherwise good luck

When you say you had no luck do you mean they said you had not been mis sold or you got no reply? When was the last time you heard from Royal bank of Scotland?

Good luck and hopefully they will treat this a new complaint. Perhaps you could add other reasons to it...;) .

I do as well Di. I know the co-op ones are done and dusted but this one with Firstplus is really getting to me now. I feel completely abused here on this one. Someone is responsible for the rebate and surely the FOS should know who.

I wonder why they will comment on the jurisdiction issues with me.
