Di - So sorry to hear about hubby but hopefully that's given you even more fire to go for these financial con merchants and seek recompense!
Thank you so much hunni.;) :A .
I believe that Welcome were a member of GISC up until the FSA taken over in Jan 2005.;)
If any different I shall let you know but I'm sure that is correct.;)
I also help out on other sites, where this was also confirmed by someone who are dealing with these prior to 2005. Hope this helps xxThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi there
I am seeking advice on whether you only get 8% interest for compensation on a PPI claim
Last August I received letter from FOS stating that HBOS would refund all premiums plus interest, additionally it will pay credit interest at 8% simple
Today I received calculations as follows:
Refund of Premiums = £1399.82
Interest for compensation at 8% = £370.91
Total = £1770.73
I contacted HBOS today and asked regarding this credit interest of 8% and they stated that it does not apply on secured loans, but I am going to phone FOS on Monday to confirm this
Thank you in advance0 -

As regards covering you for unemployment etc it would cover you like any other self employed person in that whatever it says about self employment in your terms and conditions. Usually it pay out for self empolyed people if you pay class 2 NI and have been in continuous work for 6 months or more. I would check your terms and conditions before making a complaint...
Thanks very much for the information back Marshallka. Your assumption is right. I'm not sure what you mean by class 2 NI. My pay is done in such a way that I don't earn enough to pay NI because most of my money is paid as a dividend0 -
