Hi there all
Not posted for a while, just been waiting the 8 weeks for final response from ocean finance to my two claims. needless to say they have told me to get lost and I have now lodged both claims with the FOS
both where single premium and did not run for the full term of the loans and I paid both off early so I am hoping for a fairly quick decision from the FOS on these two, fingers crossed anyway0 -
Will check this out over at the success forums, about HFC, wonder how long it will be when I should hear from them ?:rolleyes:
Its only been over a week or coming up 2 weeks then but wonder if HFC are the type to reply at an earlier stage, now its me getting impatient lol and I should give them a chance really lol...:o.
I dont think they are. Ive been waiting 4 weeks so far with no reply.

I liked the letter though. I do not know why they are working these out wrong the do all their figures without interest. But they do go on to tell the business to add all interest etc "to put the consumer back into the position as if they have never have PPI":eek: that is what gets me because these people do not.
My hubby says tonite that the FOS should check these figures when they have the case... this would then stop these cases going backwards and forwards...0 -

I took out a loan with Black Horse in November 2003 which i was told must have PPI on it.
The loan was arranged on the phone and i just received a form to sign and return. which i did
I have now written to Black Horse on several occasions and their stance is that unless I can prove that they told me that they wont play ball.
Have been to FSO but they wernt regulated by them at the time i got the loan.
Been to FLA who are rubbish, they just resent what i already had.
As this all occured on the phone, and i like most people dont record our phone conversations, how am i supposed to prove what they told me on the phone?
Please help as this is beginning to get to me.:mad:

Right, I decided to email HFC just to see if my complaint had reached them okay, and mentioned the FOS was doing this on our behalf, the consultant from the FOS states on the letter a fortnight ago our details were sent, but read the reply from HFC here:
Dear Mrs
Thank you for the attached email and I regret that you have had cause to
contact me.
Using the information you have provided I am unable to find any complaint
being received from you or the Financial Ombudsman Service. In order for
me to investigate the matter further please can you provide me with details
of your complaint at your earliest convenience.

hi, the FOS have taken on my existing loan ppi complaint, but will not touch any complaints before jan 05. found somewhere blackhorse were regulated by GISC from 2000. if its correct, trying to find out if FOS will take all complaints on .
if they wont i shall look at court option
i have complained to watchdog today about blackhorse & FLA if there's enough complaints, they will investigate, so put a complaint to them. worth trying anything that could help0 -

Receive a letter today from A&L making me an offer for PPI of
£2704.37 this includes payments of £2013.18 and interest of £691.19 I cant believe that they have only taken 2 weeks to come to a decision wayhey!!
Thanks to everyone for their advise, now all I have to wait for it the FOS decision about MBNA what a great christmas gift.0 -
ithink every body should complain to watchdog no matter what company has mis-sold ppi.the more that do the more chance of the problem being aired, & they dont hold back on these company's. so get complaining you can do it on there website. come on stand together:T :T :T :T :T :T0
