Hi Guys,
I have a Northern Rock loan and I have sent the 1st template from this website to them asking for a refund of the monies paid regarding the PPI. I have now had a response from Northern Rock saying that they will cancel the PPI but they will rework the loan figure, and the new figure is just a much as if I left the PPI on the loan?
I didnt think they could do this - any one any ideas?!?!
Thanks0 -
Thanks for that.
Guess whats next on my list
And I have all my statements too from when I wrote over bank charges.
Although I have a funny feeling I'm going to get the time barred thingy again
But going to try anyway
Oh joy.
I just looked through my statements and i didnt take overdraft out til dec 04.
What good news for me.
this is top of my list this afternoon.0 -
Hi,i have gone through the motions to reclaim PPI from Black Horse and I have just received this reply from them.
They have now said that "In the absence of any evidence in support of the claim, I regret to advise that our position remains unchanged as to that advised in our previous reply to you".
This letter is therefore our final response, which means that if you remain dissatisfied you may refer your complaint to the Finance and Leasing Assosiation.
Do I go to the ombudsman now?
Thanks Sarah0 -

I had a similar thing with the TSB , they canceled it gave me back £300 and set my new payments at £10 less than the old ones. So i wrote a letter back telling them i want all the PPI back not just £300 , which i dont know where they got from as the PPI was nearly £2000.0 -

Will keep you all posted - how long do you reckon until I get my first reply?

And of course you add the 8% interest on top of those too.:D
Good luck hun, realistically they should respond by 8 weeks, if not then go straight to the Financial ombudsman service, if its a fob off letter you receive, for example "you must have been aware because you signed, blah, blah, blah, , they may give you the opportunity to write to them again with more information, and they should then send you a final decision with a FOS leaflet enclosed.
Let us know when you hear and we will take it from there hun.
Have you already done the letter ? I can't remember, if not and you require a template, let us know and we shall post you the link.;)
(as always post by recorded post).;)

Have now sent off my recored delivery second letter to those evil people at TSB towers, highlighting points they missed from the first letter in bright red, just in case they miss them again!!
Have also begun to change to a Cahoot bank account, getting rid of the TSB all together, as when i had a Cahoot loan they were very nice and told me because of my job etc i didnt need / couldnt have PPI.:T
Good thanks for telling me.;)
As this happens to me regular, I had a feeling it would be the same for you.
Good on you for moving on and the best of luck !:D

Just received this in reply to my email about the 1999 loan redress offer on the PPIDear Mrs MThe Co-op have e-mailed me this morning and it says:
"Mr
I can confirm that our offer does include interest at 8% to each payment made by Mrs M. I also confirm that Mrs M is correct in stating that the loan taken out in 1999 was settled in January 2000, not 2001 and the redress will be made on that basis."It appears that the redress is in line with what this Service would expect the business to do. The 8% interest is simple and not compound. When I receive the signed settlement form I will forward it to Co-op to arrange the settlement.
Yours sincerely
Does this sound like redress is as if we never had the PPI at all....
I have emailed back today to make sure...0 -
