After I received the email from the FOS about the jurisdicition issues on the Firstplus complaint about unfair rebate I sent this email to the adjudicator

On the bottom of the Evidence of Insurance form it states

any enquiry of complaint that you have should be addressed, in the first instance, to the claims manager of the scheme administrators at the address above. Should you not be satisfied with the reponse you may ask the complaints and advisory department at Lloyds to review your case. If you still remain dissatisfied you may then contact the Insurance Ombudsman. The scheme administrators will provide the address, Your rights in law.

I cannot see that this is outside of jurisdiction at all.

I have now received this in reply

    Dear Mrs

Thank you for your email. Unfortunately I am unable to comment on jurisdiction at present.

I will contact you as soon as I am in a position to do so.

Thank you for your patience in this matter.

    Kind regards

  • Hi everyone. Hope you are all well.

Have just posted this question in wrong forum so going to now ask it here.

I'm sure I saw someone else ask this question but cant remember replies and cant find in forum.

Can you claim PPI on an overdraft?

I was unemployed when I took my overdraft out and also did it on line.

It definately states overdraft protection on my statement and is working out at about £18.00 per month

Aww don't worry hun, but yet I thought the same as you when this was happening to me......:o , but found out this just tends to happen now and then, so all should be okay.;) x

You were right Di , its all back to normal now  (maybe they were trying to put the willys up me). Have now sent off my recored delivery second letter to those evil people at TSB towers, highlighting points they missed from the first letter in bright red, just in case they miss them again!!

Have also begun to change to a Cahoot bank account, getting rid of the TSB all together, as when i had a Cahoot loan they were very nice and told me because of my job etc i didnt need / couldnt have PPI.:T

Yes you can claim back PPI on overdraft. Just look through the ways you can be miss sold. If any of these apply to you then you will have a case.

    Good Luck

    Thanks for that.

Guess whats next on my list

And I have all my statements too from when I wrote over bank charges.

Although I have a funny feeling I'm going to get the time barred thingy again

    But going to try anyway
