Yes you can still make a complaint even if its with a debt collection agency now. You need to make the complaint to whoever sold you the insurance if this is different to the original lender.

Just take a look at the link here and see what you can add and delete from the letter that you send. There is also a template letter on there too but sometimes it can be better to make your own up from this.

You then write to the firm that actually made the sale of the PPI to you if this is different from the lender and don't forget to send this recorded delivery so you always a proof and dates etc.

After that you have to give them 8 weeks for a full and final response. In this time it is usual to get a response of "sorry we sold this to you fairly" but you then respond to this and reiterate your complaint again. The next time they write they either give you a final response which you would need in order to take this complaint to the FOS or offer to settle.

No they cannot and that was ME not reading correctly. I read it as "it never paid out".

I had a loan of 13k and was told I had to have a £6k insurance policy. As Martin has pointed out, it was restricted to a one year payout and I was self employed. I suffered sever depression when my company went bust and claimed for 1 year, it paid out. However, I always questioned the 6k on a 13k loan but now the account has been sold to a debt collection agency.

    a) this was forced upon me but I made a claim so can I ask for this back (less what they paid)?

    b) who would I ask if I could, the Collection agency or the Original bank lender?
Hi, if you have made a claim on it for 1 year then you cannot claim it was missold as it actually paid out to you and was helpful i suppose.

So if I email you and you receive it, if you don't mind you could confirm if you have received it or not, thanks hun.;)

I am worried incase the adjudicator is not receiving them as well.
