    Hi Marshallka

There are alway two ways to work things out. In my limited experience your way is the way the FOS have been settling my claims. The only thing i would say is that you have added the 13.9% on the total and it should surely be cumulative as per the bank charge calculator. Thing you are doing yourself out of some money.

    Good luck:T
The 13.9% is the interest on top of the PPI for the 39 months at the interest rate on the agreement.... That is their interest that is they can say is due from me from the PPI if you know what i mean.

I have not even started with the stat interest from the bank charges calculator yet!!!!

That is about another 2+ grand here...:D

    Hi there.
Not sure where you would stand if the loan is in arrears, yet if you were successful maybe they would just recalculate, I am sure someone on here could confirm this for you.

However I would still try to pursue the firms to reclaim if you feel you were mis sold on any of the loans and credit cards.

I will add a link below, check this out and when you get to write a letter try to put it into your own words - there is a template on the link I will add below to help guide you.

They have 8 weeks to reply, and before this goes to the financial ombudsman service they will require a final response decision from each firm, (and copies of all correspondence in order to back your case).
So further letters may need to be sent until a final decision is received on all.

Post recorded delivery, they have 8 weeks.
Just let us know the outcome on each one you pursue and we will take it from there.;)

Best to also check if the firms were covered by either GISC or FSA for when you had taken these out in order for the ombudsman to investigate.

Please also note, if your loans were arranged by a broker, it will be them you write to.

Do you think you could let me know the firms who arranged the loans for you?, we will check to see if they were covered by the above regulators.
Thanks and here is that link to help you through this here:

    Good luck !

    Hi,

I have a quick q regarding my mums PPI reclaim.

She recieved a letter about 6 weeks ago saying that her claim had been upheld and her account would be rectified to where it should have been without PPI.

There was no mention of funds, and nothing has happened since. Is there anything she should do to try and chase it up? Or is it a case of sitting tight?

I think she tried to call them last friday, and all they said was that they were calculating how much it would be?

thanks for any help in advance.

    Hi there
And well done to your mum for her case being resolved.:T  ;) .
    Well almost lol.

Right hun who is the company ?

Crikey surely it should not take them 6 weeks to work out a calculation.. , I would write to them and tell them your mum has already waited 6 weeks, if you have not recieved anything within 14 days you will have to take further action.
Now I had to do this and suddenly the payment was paid before the 14 days were up.

Other than that I will see if I can trace my old LBA (letter before action), this normally works and then no action will be taken.

Post by recorded delivery to keep an eye on the royal mail website track and trace and give them 14 days from the date of your letter.;)

Good luck and congratulations to your mum, I hope she receives all her money very soon.:T
When she does please post on the success forums.;)

Check this LBA site out, this may help.
