I would not have been covered also for a lot of my agreement as even though self empolyed not all the time. I have never questioned that as my sole reason for this is that it was added to the agreement as a lump sum and that is it. No other reasons at all. I think that is enough to make the PPI missold. If they ask for any more details we have none. I never tried to claim on them even when hubby had MRSA or any other time and never even give them a thought until now. I have my sar here and no phone calls about the PPI at all. I just hope that mine does not need any more info as I have none to give other than that that is given. Missold, end of...:D

Although I do know that its one of the problems here if people try to make a claim then knocked back that is not right because they are paying for it.
So whether or not the adjudicator wants that confirmed I do not know.

I have confirmed to him there is no more credit cards, that was the last of them, and that was my one and only all settled when I consolidated in later in that same year of 2004.

I am going to email him with a copy of what I have found here from the SAR to back this case.

We have never made a claim on ours either only our mortgage insurance, yet we are still getting through to paying that without the insurance at the moment.

Yes I know, there is only so much to send, so far we have been lucky but will add that bit of paperwork anyway.;)

  • Hi,

I was wondering i took out a loan in 2002 and since then it has been recalculated (for a "better" rate) and due to the new lergislation in april this year(?) i was able to canx the ppi. Can i still claim back what i paid under the old agreement?

Same with a paid off credit card?

    Any help is appreciated

Hi AG, may I ask who the loan was taken out with ? thanks.....:D
    And your credit card ?
Dates etc of start to finish cheers.

Sorry just came back in after editing lol, also just re-read your post, and see you have your loan rescheduled.

If you feel you were mis sold on the other agreement you can try to reclaim this back from the ones who arranged this for you, for example the broker etc.
Same goes for the Credit card.

Check out the red box above which shows "reclaim £1,000's", then you will come across some information about mis selling and a template letter link.

Add your own reasons in your letter for why you believe you were mis sold, add as much as you can and they have 8 weeks to respond.
If unsuccessful let us know and another letter can be arranged in order for them to reconsider this for you, you should then receive the final decision, and is still unsuccessful this can then go to the financial ombudsman service if they were covered by GISC at the time.

If you let me know who they were who sold you these products I can try to check them out for you.

    Hi Sarah
Good on you for making a start with this.:T

Before you take your complaint to the FOS you must receive a final response or final decision, so if this was your first letter and it was not successful you may need to write back to them again and ask them to reconsider and tell them or you will have to take your complaint to the FOS.

The FOS will also want a copy of the final letter from these in order to investigate.

I hope this all goes your way, but please let us know the outcome so we can help you along to the next step, thanks.;)
