Thank you Di for coming back so promptly!
So you think I should just move straight on to the second stage?
Do you think I should include the info I have here regarding the fact that I was faxed the details etc???
Also, from Martin's single premium overview.....
"Further note for existing customers
If you still have a single premium policy you can’t make a reclaim under this section, yet you may be able to cancel your insurance and get it cheaper elsewhere. See the Ditch Loan Insurance article for more info and read the other misselling categories to see if you can reclaim the insurance for another reason."
Does this mean I can't claim at all or just under the basis that I have a single premium policy, and can still claim if i feel i was missold?
Thank you again!

hi clever PPI reclaim people!!
i am trying to decide whether or not to go for a reclaim against LTSB.
when i took out the loans (yes two!) i was told each time that unless i had PPI i wouldn't be allowed to have the loans and no-one else would consider me either.
i now know better and i'm trying to reduce OH and my outgoings, i was wondering if i sent a ppi reclaim letter would they tell us to get another bank account as well? are they allowed to?
i'm a little puzzled by the whole thing and was hoping you might be able to give me some advice.
thank you!

With pleasure Terry.
Yes write back as soon as you can and its up to you if you want to add further information, but they should at least look at your complaint again before sending you the final response.;)
Tell them you would appreciate them looking back at your first letter to reconsider and then if you want to add anything extra in this letter the choice is yours.;)
You have your reasons why you believe you were mis sold hun and have every right to reclaim this ppi back.
I am also hoping someone else will post in a little later with some of their opinions on this but if you feel you were ripped off you go for it.
Keep us posted, let us know what they say on the next response and we will take it from there.
The procedures are with the financial ombudsman service are that you have to receive the final response from the company first and if they have not resolved this in your favour they will then investigate.;)
Fingers crossed for you. xThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi there and welcome.
You should not have been pressured into taking the ppi, this is optional and they should have given you that choice.
You may have already had cover for this through employer benefits etc or with someone else.
Get a letter in as soon as you can to complain and reclaim, here below is the link which will give you some ideas.
There is also a template to help you with your letter, but just add your own reasons.
They have 8 weeks to respond, if unsuccessful first time round, you should write to them again for them to reconsider, if still unsuccessful you can then take to the financial ombudsman service who will be able to investigate for you.
When writing to these finance companies always post by recorded delivery.
Keep us posted in order to help you to the following step, cheers hun.;)
