Last week i recived a phone call from minestry of justice 7 marketing, i was informed about the missselling of PPI and how i could get loads of money back etc, they then went on to say it will cost £199 today, on a no win no fee, they also said that if any lender is at fault for this the loan is deamed invalid and the entire amount will be wrote off, is this the case? if no claim and success isnt made the full £199 will be repaid. I thought this may be a scam and refused and said i would look into it and get back to them..

So my first question is are they trust worthy?

I'm not sure the PPI aplies to me beacsue i have never taken out any, loans or credit cards, they say that with credit cards you have to opt out and not opt in?

So baring htis in mind do i still have a valid case worth checking.?

my final question is, 5 years ago when i could of done with PPI i had a road accident and was off work for months, i ran up endless loans and credit card debts with 10 different lenders at a total of 90k.. since then i havnt met any agreed payment and am currently on a fixed monthly rate using Pay plan. i have several CCJ's against me..

In all honesty i dont think the service offerd by 7 Marketing will be of any help! does any one think i have claim to be made or am i likely to lose £199 in a scam?

Hi there and its good to see you here.:D

Right hun in my opinion I would try to deal with these issues yourself with the help and support you will receive from this forum.;)
Basically this is all what that company who contacted would do, you may think its all time consuming but believe me it may well be worth your while.

Check through any agreements you may have and if you do not have these any longer, contact the finance companies involved and request for copies of these where they may either supply these free of charge or approx a £1.

The agreements will show of any ppi.

You may have reasons to reclaim, so here is the link to check this out which will give you an idea on the mis selling:
    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance

Have you any of the agreements ?

Check out that above link and if any of it you think occurs to you then get those letters in.;)

The template for this is also on the above link, they have 8 weeks to respond, and if your not lucky first time round, send another letter where then you should receive the final decision.
The financial ombudsman will expect to see the final decision before they deal with the complaint.

Post all letters by recorded post, good luck and let us know, then we shall take it from there.

PS : I take it that it does not make any difference if any CCJ's but unless someone else can confirm otherwise.

I have a few claims as from 2001, I know some trying on some claims before that and have been successful, hopefully someone will also confirm on this also on the time barring.

    No problem.
I had just also left a post on your other thread about this.

The fact is here that not everyone was aware they were paying for ppi years ago, this is why many are trying to reclaim now, as some were added without this being mentioned.

Maybe worth checking just in case, its up to you but you will be surprised because even credit cards, store cards, catalogues this ppi have been added to without being asked, this is not always noticed, and now this is BIG news right now on ppi mis selling, everyone seems to be trying to find all their old agreements, just in case.;)

Have you tried a daylight alarm clock Marshallka? I have a lamp too, which is good, but I bought a daylight alarm clock a few weeks ago and it really is great, I am waking up properly now, not taking most of the day to emerge from a fog!

I have the philips BIG lamp which really does give off some light and does make you more energetic. I used it when I worked a couple of nights on the trot last christmas and must admit it worked a treat. I couldn't have the alarm as my OH would not like it..i will get my lamp down in a couple of weeks. I will need it. I put it on the desk and also have half hour in the morning. Its all to do with the light hitting the back of your eyes etc.. Certain foods help and I was buying walnuts last year by the bag but quite expensive. I also joined a forum but not as good as this..

I got mine from Amazon for about £66. Its a Phillips one, it seems a bit plastiky but it had very good reviews on several sites, and it works really well. I wouldn't be without it now. There are more expensive ones but unless you want it to sing and dance too I can't see the point! It starts to gently light up half an hour before the alarm goes off (uses 100 watt soft tone bulb) and brings the body out of the sleep stage. The alarm itself starts very softly and increases over 1 & half minutes. Thoroughly recommend it!

I have the Appollo go lite M2, which is great (and portable). I use mine in the morning for half an hour, and if I am feeling particularly rough I use it again for 20mins at lunch time. I am lucky because the alarm clock doesn't disturb my hubby at all - mind you, neither did the earthquake the other month :D I didn't know about the walnuts helping though, wonderful excuse, I love them lol. How many pounds do I have to eat?
