    You have a loan with PPI, if mis sold you get back the payments you made towards the ppi plus the interest you paid on them. Then the loan has the ppi taken off and the money you paid towards the loan (not ppi) is taken off the new loan and that is the amount of the new loan which either the payments stay the same hence shorter term or cheaper payments same term.

    Taken off the amount owing. Make sure they offer you a rate similar or better than the original loan.

    Hi,can someone help me? I rejected the offer first plus made4 the mis selling of my PPI and now they say thats all they are prepared to offer. Is the next stage writing to the financial ombudsman and what happens next

    Hi Nick

    Sorry to hear that FP did not higher the amounts for you, and your doing the right thing now in taking this to the FOS, you can download a complaint form from their site or ring them to send one through the post, when you have completed them take some photocopies, obviously send one to the FOS with copies of correspondence from FP, keep one for yourself and send one to FP, with a letter, to confirm you have now taken your complaint to the financial ombudsman service and enclose a copy of the form for their interest and records, you never know it may help, if it does then let the FOS know of this.
