After telling me I could only have my refund by offsetting against what I still owe and me being on the phone everyday until they told me what I wanted to hear, they're sending me the forms today for me to sign to say I agree with the refund amount, now they've added the 8% interest, and to confirm I want a chq.
Then I need to sort my remaining payments so reduce them by a messly £4 a month but hey its better in my pocket.
Just wondering now how long it'll take for the chq to arrive??????
Tylerlewis, I have a similar scenario with loans.co.uk, they want to offset against the loan if my claim is upheld, my ppi was £8100 added onto the loan at the start in one lump sum.. I too want a cheque, not to have it offset against the loan, what arguments did you use to succeed in getting them to offer a cheque instead?0 -

Morning to everyone, I just thought I would post up whilst having my toast and coffee, but ive been thinking (oh dangerous) I am in the process of claiming ppi with hsbc i have sent second letter after receiving first letter of decline, anyway been thinking I have been a customer with this bank for over 20 years and we have our mortgage and a loan ontop of the mortgage , my current account, overdraft facility and savings account (with nowt in it mind) but my thinking for the day is that they get loads of money from me from interest to bank charges ect, so i think its now time to get something back from them eg ppi. Anyway dont want to blab on but there's my thoughts of the day. Its better in my pocket than theres.
I will post up if I have any luck, here's hoping.
thanks to you all and this forum.0 -
Just wondering if anyone has any idea on the following.... Some months ago I realised I was paying PPI on a Credit Card which I cannot remember signing up for as I usually dont. Anyway, I cancelled this payment no problem but was just wondering if I had any case for reclaiming these PPI payments even if I am not sure if I agreed to them in the first place?0

They are soo bad and need a thorough investigation into the going on in the firm and how they handle complaints. They lie, cheat, and steal in my view. They are bad crooks...
Why won't anyone stand up to them from the authorities.
Makes me wonder...0
