I know not all companies recorded a few years back, but I think as from 2005 they did more so....

I would contact the ICO if your having trouble with this and. if you were informed the calls were recorded, and they may have possibly been anyway.

HI ALL,

I HAD SUCCESS WITH RECLAIM ON PPI WITH HFC LOAN TAKEN OUT IN 2004, THE RECLAIM WAS IN OCT 2008 AND THEY PAID OUT LIKE WITHIN 5 WEEKS:j THE REASON FOR THE RECLAIM WAS IT WAS A HARD SELL AND THAT IT WOULD ONLY COVER 1ST NAMED SO ONLY MY HUSBAND COULD CLAIM.
WE ALSO HAD A LOAN IN 2003 AND THIS PAPERWORK ALSO SHOWED ONLY 1ST NAMED COVERED EVEN THOUGH LOAN IN BOTH NAMES, SO I DECIDED TO CLAIM FOR THIS, I SENT 1ST CLAIM LETTER OVER NINE WEEKS AGO AND I HAVE HAD 2 RESPONSE LETTERS ADVISING THEY LOOKING INTO IT. I CALLED THE COMPLAINT OFFICE THE OTHER DAY AND THEY ADVISED THEY WERE AWARE THIS HAS GONE OVER THE 8 WEEKS TIME LINE BUT WERE STILL WAITING FOR DOCUMENTATION FROM THE RELEVANT BRANCH !!!!

MY QUESTION IS SHOULD I NOW SEND 2ND STAGE LETTER OR GIVE THEM SOME MORE TIME, I DONT KNOW WHAT THEIR PROBLEM IS AS THEY PAID OUT ON THE OTHER LOAN FOR SAME REASONS

Do you know at this stage you can take to the FOS if they have not kept to the timescales of your complaint, its up to you if you want to write another letter hun, but this is now your choice.......let us know if you want to know more on this.

Who were the companies you won these claims with if you don't mind me asking?
And the company your dealing with now?
