Yes always best to check these.
When I had taken this out there were not known cancers in the family, then 3 years after there was.

I think they all have something dodgy in exclusions don't they?

I pay £8.95 a month and if mine stops at 15 years, if I have not made a claim I receive all the premiums paid in back, so lets hope I do not have to make a claim.

My mate hit her 15 year at the beginning of the year and had her load back which eased me a little, and now she has another one going with them but at a higher rate as she is a little older.

What do you reckon to mine though Di.. they could say any of those were from pre existing conditons... .

Marshallka there is also a forum here about it "well woman".

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=94581

This is one of the posts found on there, it differs slightly to mine where she states a payout after 20 mine is 15, check this out here or on that above link.

I am a Sales Manager for American Life and having been selling the policy to women for the last 2 years. and the answer to your question is once you have been given the all clear from any of the 7 female cancers for 3 yeas you are covered once you provide proof from the medical profession.

with regards to pay out on diagnoses they are excatly the same you can get upto £72,000.00 on a level 5 cover age depending when you take out the plan. you are entitled to get a women with no chldren income diganoses, hospitalisation benefit, an element of death benfit, lump sum diagnoses benefit. and if you do have children by other means i.e adoption for example then children in the family benefit also. other than that nothing changes. but if you dont claim at all after 20 years in to the plan or when you hit 65 you will get a 100% tax free refund of all the premiums to have paid in to plan. I hope this anwers your question

    Hi its me again lol.:D

First of all let me say how sorry I am to hear of your illness, and hope your health improves.;)

When you had the ppi from the start, did you want this? or did they say you had to have this to be accepted for a loan?

You are currently claiming on the present ppi.

May I ask who sold you the loan (the broker from the start of the first loan)?

When you have another loan from the same lender, even though its a new loan, the old loan and ppi is calculated into the new loan sort of thing when settling.

If you feel you were mis sold on the first loan, I think you could try to reclaim on this and your right, not on the present one as you are claiming from this.;)

I am hoping that someone else will come along and confirm this.

But check out the above red box reclaim £1,000's, click on that and some information is on there about ppi mis selling and a reclaim template letter, use your own words and add your own mis selling reasons, they have 8 weeks to respond - as usual post by recorded post.

Let us know how you go and we will take you to the next step if not successful first time round.

Good luck hun, hope everything gets better for you.

    Di.

Hello Di, thanks for replying so quickly and efficiently and sorry it's taken me a few days to get back to you!

Both of my loans were with HSBC, and the PPI is sold by HSBC but actually administered by Norwich Union. I've had a look through Martin's article and am going to try and put a case together to claim on the first loan I took out. I will keep the forum updated on how it goes!

    Thanks again :)

This is what I mean when I say that these companies that induced us to more debt needlessly when we were having troubles have in effect done more damage than ever. I have had to cancel everything over the years just to keep up with the mortgage... My hubby is covered with work and we pay income protection and always have but its these little things. I had my own life cover before this debt (from Firstplus!!) that DID cover me but honestly all things like that had to go... Its so annoying...

I will ask the doc about this well woman thing next week. I just know I have had so many scares that they could look back and say " that was cause of that" if ever I got anything... although have had lots of tests and none being positive... I have learn't from reading various sites etc that they can link anything to anything to not pay out..

Every one of my troubles and scares have been in the last 5 years except the mole business. That was carved out though...

picture has been bought over and i was wondering if anyone has had any luck claiming from them, i wrote to the FSO and they have passed my case to the FSCS, i emailed them the other day and this is what they said

`The Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) must consider all claims in line with our rules, as set by the Financial Services Authority (FSA). Under these rules, before we can consider the eligibility of an investor’s claim against a firm, we must first be satisfied that the firm in question is financially unable to meet the claims that have been brought against it. We can only consider a claim for compensation if no other party is in a position to do so.

We have nearly completed our investigation into the solvency position of Picture Financial Services Plc, and are currently reviewing your claim to see if it is eligible for compensation under our rules`

I REALLY want to know if they are going to take my claim forward,
look forward to hearing from anyone who has got anywhere with this

I am waiting for this also. I sent my claim in back in August. When did you get this email?

    Hiya hun,

Yes its a good idea to check on this well woman issue, can you print anything out to show your GP?

You know what these companies are like, they will make out your eligible anyway, so best be safe than sorry.;)

Saying that Marshallka I think its more on the diagnosis side of things if you know what I mean, this should be okay then, but still check it out anyway, it will be worth your while.
