    Well apart what I have coming in every month we are now into the savings, and am hoping to build my account back up soon if hubby's compo goes in the bank next week (fingers crossed), then he should be returning to work from the sick.
    Its not been easy.
    God, we had no savings and we have had to cancel everything to keep up with the mortgage on interest only. We have got rid of some debts but next month is crutial to us. We have always been in debt since Firstplus loan. We had a large mortgage to pay it off and struggled ever since. Worst decision of our lives... I wish we had some savings to dip into...:o .

    Going back to the FSCS, wonder how they are getting on with that one on Twopart/eloan, they went into liquidation in May but then Essex county loans supposed to have taken over, only for a short time.

    All the FSCS said to me was that they were not aware there were any such links between the 2 and were then starting their investigations on twopart/eloan, but that seems like ages ago.

    It was when the requested for a copy of the insurers certificate.....:rolleyes: I then sent them a copy of the figures and breakdown and the agreement again but have not heard anything since......:confused: .

    Now its got me thinking, I know there isn't a lot to claim back on this one but when it was calculated it was nemo and I am going for the mis selling on twopart, so I am now wondering if again it were the insurers who calculated this and its the agreement from them they wanted.......:confused:

    This was the money we had back from Nemo and liverpool victoria, even though some of that was used at the start to pay off things then the rest of what was left was savings, that is coming down big time now......:rolleyes:

    Our balance on the mortgage was on the last statement of £116K, we added the nemo loan in with that, even though we had the ppi back from them but its like still paying them all over again, like you said you still get stuck with them.......:mad:

    Just been looking up well woman. I need something to cover me too. I have a history and we are being checked regular but I thought that I would not be able to join this.. Just been on the exclusions and it says
    Exclusions

    We
    will not pay the benefit:
    a. if

    you are diagnosed as having cancer, within the 90 days
    immediately following

    your effective date;
    b. if

    you get medical advice, have symptoms or tests, or receive
    any medication or treatment, for

    cancer within 90 days of your
    effective date

    ;
    Exclusions a and b do not apply to the hospitalisation benefit.

    c. for the

    cancer for which you are claiming if you have been
    diagnosed with the same

    cancer before the effective date;
    d. for any

    cancer directly or indirectly caused by any pre-existing

    condition
    ;

    The last exclusion is a dodgy one here???
    I think they could say that you had a condition before and get out of paying.
    I have had 2 breast scares and biopsies and still have lump now but its not malignant, 2 laporoscopies for what looked like malignant cyst on scan, 3 hysteroscopies for dodgy looking and biopsies, i positive smear, i dodgy mole removed, high white cells checking for cancers - got them again now, bowel cancer checks as it runs in our family and we are under the birmingham womens hospital for that, kidney full of nodules but works, MRI brain scan as I had a condition called BPPV but til that scan they did not know as the nystagmus was the wrong way for that particular disease.
    If I got anything they could then rule out due to any of these....

    Yes always best to check these.
    When I had taken this out there were not known cancers in the family, then 3 years after there was.

    I think they all have something dodgy in exclusions don't they?

    I pay £8.95 a month and if mine stops at 15 years, if I have not made a claim I receive all the premiums paid in back, so lets hope I do not have to make a claim.

    My mate hit her 15 year at the beginning of the year and had her load back which eased me a little, and now she has another one going with them but at a higher rate as she is a little older.
