No I do not have a PPI question, I was going to offer my help, due to having dealt with these issue on other popular reclaiming websites.
Thank you anyway, and I can see its pretty quiet here so far, I hope its picks up for you.
May I just say, and I am not getting at you, I have an autistic daughter, she again was a victim of bullying, unfortunately and sadly this is an issue when it comes to these victims with special requirements, I am happy to hear your kids stick up for themselves and I am sure you meant well on your postings about this and bullies, but some with these needs are unable to protect themselves unlike a person without these disabilities, its torture for that person and also for the families having to deal with this as a matter of priority, its a very sad issue indeed.
Anyhow back to the PPI, I hope this thread picks back up for you again.
If you can help out then that is great...
Where you state that you hope the thread picks up for me, (again confused at the "for you") it has not been too busy for ages and most of the posts on here are not PPI related. Its sometimes is difficult to find a PPI query..
Di herself has a child with special needs ( I assume you have read this) and I assume that takes up all her time and she has not got as much time to post on these type of forums. She is teaching him herself at home and I do understand that bullying happens and to some more than others. My heart goes out to the victims in these matters. I also understand that bullying can come from adults too but they are just have a different approach to it...;) It can be very clever actually.
I don't know if you know this but maxdp sent Di a link to a thread about autism on here. Lots of talk about it and it may be of use to you too.;)
Thanks for posting and although you have not got an PPI queries I look forward to seeing your help on this site. I don't come on so much myself now as cannot find the time like I used to...but glad this is sorted.0 -

Hi, Hope someone Can answer this question for me.
I took out a car finance loan back in 2007 with PPI with Bluemotor Finance, I have asked to cancel the policy. Am I entitled to a rebate due to not having ever claimed on it and do I have a case for reclaiming as the policy would not have covered me when it was sold to me as I had not been with my employer for the 2 years I would have had to have been there.

just updating you all on my progress with blackhorse,
had documents back off request from SAR. only to find its all about my existing loan, brickwall again. informed ICO of this waiting for response. had enough now FLA are total waste of time.
i believe a lawyer is the only option, to stop them messing me around.
also anyone dealing with blackhorse or thinking of, save yourselves a lot of grief & time by using a laywer.
If you take a look back over the part two claiming discussion then there is lots of info on the courts etc and what forms to send in, help in filling them in and lots did win....they never actually got to the court stage... just a though...0 -
I, for one, am extremely grateful to you, keep it up, and the fact that you are so serious about the subject has made me chuckle (dont take that the wrong way please) thanks again.
Good luck with your complaint..0 -

As regards the misselling then if you were already covered you could make a complaint...this would be a complaint to the ones that actually sold it to you..
Just take a look at the link here and see what you can add and delete from the template letter. Its always best to do your own from this. There are lots of reason on there for the misselling so pick out the ones that are applicable to yours.
You then write to the firm that actually made the sale of the PPI to you if this is different from the lender and don't forget to send this recorded delivery so you always a proof and dates etc.
After that you have to give them 8 weeks for a full and final response. In this time it is usual to get a response of "sorry we sold this to you fairly" but you then respond to this and reiterate your complaint again. The next time they write they either give you a final response which you would need in order to take this complaint to the FOS or offer to settle.

do you have your T & C s and all your paperwork?
they should have asked you about your job and explained if this was a requirement.
have a look at the letter templates on this site and put in stating the details of t & c s. so as to make it fit your mis selling case.
if you want post it up so we can have a look and if you need help to tweak it thats only if you want to.
