Right then folks
I will be leaving this forum for a little while, hope you all stay well and the very best of luck to you all with your claims, keep at them folks, you will get there.;)
If at all I have offended anyone, then I apologise, its just that I deal with things differently, where I think we all do, yes I may be a softie, or defo getting there with that one lol, but never mind hey ?:D
Marshallka good luck with yours too hun and hope you get the result your waiting for.;)
Take care all.
Di.
XXXXX
Di, please don't do this, you are part of the backbone of this forum. I think that it has just all got out of hand tonight, we are just all fed up with a certain person (who knows just who he is) This is just what he wants us all argueing between ourselves so that one by one we stop contributing, leaving him to take over.
We all need to stay strong & sooner or later he will get the message that we won't be broken.0 -
marshallka wrote: »Di, remember when M colak was on here and Singlep and troness. It was all talk about PPI and we learnt so much too. I want to learn about PPI and other threads "are not" like this one on here. I have been on other threads and they tend to stick to the topic. I think if the FOS took a look too that they would see us all as making a mockery of something that we claim to be so important:rolleyes: . It just seems to have gone off topic and good style to me. I have not seen any posts on the Misrepresentation act etc and other acts that would help in those writing letters for claims not covered by the FOS. If anyone of any authority came on now I think they would more than most likely take a hike to another site for instance as there are more posts about anything and everything other than PPI. I love a bit of humour but its the rest that has got out of hand. I want the likes of singlep and troness to read the posts and see what a struggle we are having etc again. That is what attracted them last time to here. They helped so much with certain laws and the ICOBS handbook pieces and also the legalisations etc... we need them here for people that have no chance of going to FOS.
Its OK saying "don't read the posts if you don't want to" but the newbie claimers come on and post and then they have to go through 4 more pages of pure unrelated PPI to find their posts again. Then if we try to help and they have posted again we then ask them "can you please refresh me on that one". Not everyone has time for that.
Maybe its just me and I should move on but I am thinking of how this used to be. We attracted more help... we really wanted the help and we were struggling... now it seems everyone is fine and having a laugh and if they do come on they would most certainly go away again. Nothing wrong with a bit of chit chat but just my view. If others care to slate me for it then do so but I have got to get this off my chest.
I think a lot of people have gain/had a lot of information from this thread and some have won their cases, however there are some like us who seem to be just waiting around for answers to our ppi claims and can go no further.
And I think we are just filling in a little time here otherwise we would not speak to each other, we have also learnt about each other while chatting.:wave:0 -

What is so wrong with that suggestion. I am as guilty as the rest for the chit chat but I have a good reason for this. Some could be helped by the professionals and that is how we attracted them before. We actually all talked PPI. It was not hard for them to find the posts and it helped them too...0 -

They do not have time to trawl through pages of posts about nothing to do with PPI. I have suggested the money savers arms but no-one took no notice. I remember tron_ess came on and actually had the odd half hour and went through every post and HELPED... He/she was a very busy person and really tried.

Why can't we start a separate thread for social chat on the ppi pages? Then we can still stay separate from the rest of MSE forums & give a more professional impression to anyone wanting to help.0 -
Right---Apologies for not posting over weekend-what with Arsenal v Hull City (Grrrrr) & Rugby today & the dreaded Income Tax Return Date looming--I have not had much time this weekend.
There seems to have been a bit of bother while I've been away--hope it gets sorted out.
On one issue, perhaps its time to get some structure to the Forums by sub-forums etc to compartmentalise the actual claims/potential claims?? and leave the main thread for general discussion on tactics.--or something--needs a bit of thought--but I also find this multi-case thread/chat thread so hard to follow when items about one guy's questions can be spaced out with 3 whole pages between them.
Anyway, tonight I'll post up my theories (PPI mis-selling sums) by using Marshallka's old loan as an example.
Then, I'll post up Nick's figures, showing the effect of changing interest rates on a variable rate loan.
Right-back to Excel--I'll put Marshallka's parameters in, print, scan upload to Photobucket (Grrr--ask Martin for an Attachment facility for PDF )---should be back in 10-15 mins + 1 bottle of wine!!:Daka Calculator
My grandmother started walking five miles a day when she was 60. Now she's 97 years old and we don't know where the hell she is.0 -
Thank you everyone so much. I will post it tomorrow and see where I get. I will let you know.

If you have disclosed any information to a third party (with or without my express permission), will you please include details of this in your reply, along with notes of any legal action passed or pending (to include a true copy of default notices, court orders and the like).
Where any information that you provide includes any charges, for example returned payments, late payment fees, and so forth, would you please advise your breakdown of actual costs (liquidated damages) incurred for each charge, and the Term or Condition on which you rely upon to claim such a charge.
I also require that you forward, within the above mentioned time scale, a true copy of the Terms and Conditions that were in force at the time my account was opened, and any subsequent amendments to those Terms and Conditions.
I enclose the statutory maximum fee of £10.00 to access ALL data held by XXXXX about myself. You should be fully aware of your statutory obligations under the Data Protection Act and that any failure to comply with this request will involve a complaint to the ICO as well as potential legal action.
You have 40 days in which to comply with this request.
This communication has been sent Recorded Delivery so I can ensure compliance on these issues within the legislative timeframes.

That is all I was saying Natalie... the money savers arms is a place for all chat but we could put it on the loans thread maybe...
