Right---Apologies for not posting over weekend-what with Arsenal v Hull City (Grrrrr) & Rugby today & the dreaded Income Tax Return Date looming--I have not had much time this weekend.

There seems to have been a bit of bother while I've been away--hope it gets sorted out.

On one issue, perhaps its time to get some structure to the Forums by sub-forums etc to compartmentalise the actual claims/potential claims?? and leave the main thread for general discussion on tactics.--or something--needs a bit of thought--but I also find this multi-case thread/chat thread so hard to follow when items about one guy's questions can be spaced out with 3 whole pages between them.

Anyway, tonight I'll post up my theories (PPI mis-selling sums) by using Marshallka's old loan as an example.

Then, I'll post up Nick's figures, showing the effect of changing interest rates on a variable rate loan.

Right-back to Excel--I'll put Marshallka's parameters in, print, scan upload to Photobucket (Grrr--ask Martin for an Attachment facility for PDF )---should be back in 10-15 mins + 1 bottle of wine!!:D
What a great idea turbo, another person who can see where I am coming from without taking offence;) .... its hard to find a post 5 mins ago let alone a few hours ago..when you are trying to do figures and then you have to ask someone again for them cause 5 pages have gone and nothing at all about PPI its annoying...you will find out... People just have not got the time to post them up again ...

  • Whatever happens in terms of the structure of this forum - and Natalie's suggestion is a great one, there should be more structure to part of the website - can we please not lose any of the regular contributors?! A hornet's nest has been stirred up by mischief-makers and rather than lose the worthy contributions from people whether in support for their PPI claims, or support in general, that they DO still contribute? (Di, I'm looking at you, gal!)

If anything, regularly coming onto the PPI part of this website keeps me focused. It helps me think," What do I need to do next?" and actually get on and do it.

I need a right kick up the !!!! at times to keep me going with the PPI stuff as it's less formulaic than the charges reclaiming with less of a timetable attached and more confusing legal position behind it, so the regular support and contributions from everyone helps.
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!

Dreamer, I realise what you are saying but we did have more help (from professionals) when they saw us struggle. They do not have time to trawl through pages of posts about nothing to do with PPI. I have suggested the money savers arms but no-one took no notice. I remember tron_ess came on and actually had the odd half hour and went through every post and HELPED... He/she was a very busy person and really tried.

What is so wrong with that suggestion. I am as guilty as the rest for the chit chat but I have a good reason for this. Some could be helped by the professionals and that is how we attracted them before. We actually all talked PPI. It was not hard for them to find the posts and it helped them too...:confused:

Nothing wrong with the suggestion. I just find at the minute all you can do is help other re-claimers when they come on but there is not so many now, I find it difficult to just sit on the forum and not say anything.

Its just a waiting game now for answers from our claims.

    OK

I know this is nothing to do with me but I think it has to stop. Everyone is now chucking their toys out of the pram and as far as I am concerned it is getting stupid.

It is like a self fulfilling prophesy on here. All the negative stuff that some posters have accused this FORUM of is now coming true with everyone having hissy fits.

I think we need to draw a line under it and get on. This is a PPI forum and it needs to be taken seriously.

I think if there are any other criticism or personal points they need to be done by pm and not posted on here.

I am not picking on anybody but this is making some people quite uncomfortable.

As Ozzie Osborurne once said I love you all but your are all flucking mad.

The mischief-makers should not damage us.
Bathgatebuyer, that is what I suggested earlier but only natalie could see where I was coming from. I have obviously pi**sed off too many people on here today and I really did not mean to. I note that people are taking offence against me good style... and I am confused why... . I made a suggestion and also I had an argument with a poster that made his first post on here "blaming PPI reclaimers for the banks having to make their staff redundant etc" ..:confused:

    All this now!!!

    Marshallka,
Yes hun I know what your saying, and its a good idea to have a separate thread for chit-chat, I am just a little confused in how this was to do with me as such regarding CC.... , sorry if this is mis-understood.;) X:A

Yes its been a tense day all round for all as seems, and we should not let others that are against this PPI reclaiming put us in this position, anyway I do not want to get in the way of PPI posts lol, and I mean that in a nice way lol.....:D , I will pop in from time to time and keep a check on the posts in case any more help is needed.;)

    Take care then all.

    Di.
    XXXXX
Oh Di, You are digging at me now...(anyway I do not want to get in the way of PPI posts lol!!!!!) perhaps its best I leave you all to it. I for one think that PPI and debts etc IS a serious subject and sorry if I have upset you and your friends on here. I really did not mean to do that. I can see now that the regulars mostly have your view here and you have now said you will leave with not even trying to understand where I am coming from and I have obviously wasted my time trying to get my view across. I was just trying to get some help again like we had before in people getting back their PPI when they cannot go to the FOS.

As regards that with credit crunched - you did things your way and that was appreciated but I was stating that I do things my way too and see no harm in that. I do speak out for things I believe in and people I also believe in too. Its just me, I cannot stand to see others picked on, even adults... I make a choice to do it... I am a big softie too, just like you, but we do things differently you and me. .... I don't harp on about my troubles too much on here as I could write a book just like everyone else. We all have troubles... some more than others... I was so shocked by two peoples posts last night and these people have come on here and never once mentioned their troubles and my HEART went out to them both. Others do seem to find comfort in mentioning about theirs and that is fine too. Some people find their money problems something to laugh about and others find them heart breaking in that they are at threat of losing their homes, their families breaking down, they kids having to give up pets to move into bed and breakfasts.... each are fine....

I do things my way and you do things yours... we are all different thats what makes us unique.

I like the officey side of things on here (its inbred!!) and you and some others prefer to chat, that is fine. I was only making a suggestion. Maybe I should have kept my mouth shut for once or I could see this as an apportunity...

Thanks for your help on here turbo.;)
What a wonderful guy you are, and I am sure all will appreciate your input here hun, thank you.:T XX

Oops seems like I worded a post wrong earlier, regarding "PPI postings", where in fact I meant "I do not want to take many posts up posting in case ppi reclaimers come in" and you know what its like on here turbo.....pages go by rather quickly.
And I think a another thread for chatting is a great idea for anyone who fancies a natter, a bit like ours over the road hun.;)

At least you lot know what I'm like with my slip up of wordings, the one and only "dizzy di" :rotfl: :rotfl: , cheers:D ;) , catch you later Turbo X
