Ordered a bike last Thu (15th), had email saying good to be despatched, but letter today saying bike is now sold out.
Apparently they have been overwhelmed by the number of orders.
Never mind, worth a try

same here just got a letter saying out of stock - well annoyed as I spotted the OP minutes after it was typed and ordered straight away.

Also got an out of stock letter today on the Spiderman quad but 'my account' online still shows it 'on order'! Phoned to check and they insist it is still due to arrive.

Check your account on line or phone them. No guarantee of anything with Empire though. Not a good firm to do business with.

Hi, back again! I too got one of those letters this morning. Soooooo disappointed, but have just ordered the barbie bike instead TG1169. I know it's not much good for those of you with boys. Even though I've got a daughter I really wanted a more unisex one so if I have a boy he could have it too, but hey it's better than nowt! This is £34.99 but works out at £19.99 with the discount. Hope that helps someone, it was already briefly mentioned at the beginning but just wanted to help. Probably best to order by phone, they picked up straight away, plus I understand telephone orders are processed quicker? Merry Christmas everybody!!

Whoops forgot to mention it's for ages 3 and up, instead of 2, it's 12" instead of 10"

Imagine the disappointment on xmas eve getting this letter. I wont order with empire again but i had a feeling i wasnt going to get the bike. so glad i ordered the little tikes bike from littlewoods which arrived on tuesday. all made up now thanks to bro in law and i'll have a smiling little boy tomorrow. Isnt xmas great?:D

Well, the saga finally ended today! Second 'out of stock letter' re the Spiderman quad. And they now confirm it won't be arriving!

This company is a shambles! I have spoken to them four times since Xmas:

1..."Stock is due shortly"
2..."Stock has arrived"
3..."It will be delivered 16th Jan"
4..."Supplier has let us down" (No expanation as to why I was told the other things.)

I've told them to collect the other item in our order as it was only to make up the order for the code! And they've 'promised' we'll still get the free bag set! Do I believe them???????

....well, I do believe them now! Not only did we get ONE bag set arrive today, we got TWO!!!!!! I think they created two accounts when trying to sort out the original order.

Mind you, i wouldn't recommended the bags for heavy use!
