    Argos took payment, but nobody got their TV's.
    There's probably a clause in the T&C's which you had to agree to before your order went through which states the contract isn't complete until the item is dispatched. Whhether this is legal or not I don't know, but if you ticked a box agreeing to the T&C's there's probably very little that can be done.

    Saying that, keep pushing, you never know your luck!!


    I think we have a better argument than Argos becuase the price advertised was in fact the RRP with all the extras offered as free.

    Well , I know currys recieved my email but no reply yet or from the CEO
    Order still shows as cancellation in progress - but no further change since 14th , wonder if they are deciding what to do ?

    Not quite - we made the offer, not dixons.

    Just wanted to make sure people know the letter of the law so that dixons don't try and wriggle.

  • yeah - i got that too = about 10 mins after the Director of PR replied - guess its just automated and not connected to my complpain e mail

    Just spoke with trading standards and they said my e mail was 'very strong but very correct' :)

    Hi when did you send your email? I just wondered how long approx they were taking to reply.
  • Sent it yesterday - it went to cust services, john clare. hamish thompson and my local trading standards

    They only have a couple of days to respond to my email threatening legal action. I sent it to customer services, web sales, Head of PR, Hamish Thompson, John clare and local TS.
  • I gave them 24 hours! ;)

    And said if order was not reinstated in that time then I would file a claim against them in the small claims court and go to the press and watchdog
