Currys mispriced xbox discussion thread

right - this could get interesting now
i just checked my egg card online and theyve taken the money for the xbox and FREE games/controller/faceplate
So the way I see it - they advertised the standard core xbox sku at £209.99 (standard RRP - they cannot say this is a pricing error) with 5 FREE games and FREE controller and FREE face plate
I made an offer to purchase (by completing the online order) and they made an acceptance buy taking payment from my credit card. The consideratino was the £209.99
Remember the four key components
A contract is a legally enforceable agreement between two or more people. Consideration, certainty, the intention to be legally bound to an offer and an acceptance, are the four legal requirements which must be present to make up a contract. Consideration means the obligation to pay or provide something in return for something of value. Certainty means the contract must clearly state what is expected of all parties to it. Everyone involved in making the contract must genuinely intend to enter into a legally binding agreement for a legal purpose. And the contract must be offered and accepted on the same terms.
All of the above 4 components are there0 -

Can I have a copy - I bought from Currys - I'll get them to pricematch! LOL
Note that Currys send you three emails (the first tells you that the final and third email completes the contract). Did any of you get this third and final email that includes the sales receipt (if requested by email or through the post). Without that, they may have a case to withdraw?________________________________________
Explain yourself Mr. N. Loggin. :mad:0 -
I just got the third email saying it was a website error, & that they would refund my card, even though payment shouldn't have been taken until the third email to confirm order had arrived.0

Have they actually taken the money from your cards, or simply reserved the funds to be taken later? You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0

definitely taken the money - even got my egg instant cashback0

It looks like Currys are being backed into a corner over this one. Trading standards are 100% on our side.0
