you probably only need to replace the screen lens as the actual lcd is under the screen lens

yeah, thats all i want to do.. i just need to replace the clear plastic bit that is part of the casing but i have no idea if that's possible or how i would go about doing it!

I need a new lcd screen for the d500 any ideas for a good price can only find £30 just want to make sure I get the cheapest. thinking I might as well et a faulty one and take the lcd from that. (even though i dont kow how to fix one!)

thats about the normal price - samsung screens are alway expensive.
i would also change the ribbon at the same time otherwise you will soon be stripping it down again
