In my local Poundland I was delighted to find some quite big bottles of Nivea shower gel for, obviously, a pound.
I was less delighted when I saw the same shower gels later that week in Asda, for 92p. I know it's only 8p, but even so...
Since then I've kept an eye on similar products - most of the shampoos, shower gels, deodorants etc seem to be much the same as this.0 -
Well in my town we have about 4 poundshops now and they are huge(just shows how popular they have become). When i go in i usually spend over a tenner as i stock up on bargains on a recent trip i got:
Ambi pur refills normally i pay about £2.50 each for these
dog toys and cat toys...great value compared to the pet shop , but watch out for cheap made stuff that rips apart easily.
body sprays.....i got impulse or charlie you don't save a fortune on these but if buying 3 or 4 it does save nearly £2
christmas decorations.....there is a super variety and it is just as good as the stuff twice, 3 times the price in the likes of BHS and such.
some food stuffs, such as crisps and coffee buying a few of these does save me a few ££££'s lol
Gifts for kids.....there is lots of silly kids toys which for a quid make ideal stocking fillers for friends kids and bulk up what i am giving them for a few £££'s more.
car stuff......can get some good gadgets for the car and cleaning stuff saves me a good fiver sometimes.
Hmmm will have to think what else i get......
Yeh quite agree about the Christmas decorations. I've been looking round garden centres, department stores etc. and they've got a brilliant selection. Got enough for the whole house for £10 which would have cost me about £40 anywhere else, good quality too!:T0 -
And, as featured upon the 'Today' programme on BBC Radio 4 recently,
Dutchy Original Organic Earl Grey Teabags, 125gms., at Poundland. Very upmarket!0 -
Didn't know about the coldsore cream - will have to have a look next time I am in.0

I popped in today and picked up two Rimmel eye liner pencils, two for a pound, one Rich brown and the other, Chianti, which is a very dark mauve. I also look out for good brand nail polish. I like everyone else have made mistakes, but you learn what to avoid.0

In Poundland; got 2 packs of patching plaster for wall - £1 each. Was already in town anyway, so saved £2.20 bus fare to DIY store were it was over £2 for 1 pack. Worked a good deal and product was fine.0
