Mudbath sounds like you got a great deal.
I wish I understood how quidco works, when I look at the site it is just a front page, how do you find the shop you want and or know if it is signed up to quidco?Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

I know what you mean about electric, I also hate it for the hobs. However when we moved here, I orginally had no choice but to accept electric. Got used to it in a way but am so glad now I have a duel fuel cooker.
Could you trade in your old cooker somewhere for an electric one?We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.0 -
Massive hugs summermoon - what a nightmare....could you get an electric cooker on freecycle to tide you over? Is not moving to the new place an option? Sorry, i'm not really being very helpful but had to come and give you a hug xx0

Once you've registered go to the home page and where it has the box with 'search' in it write in the shop you want. Then press 'go'. Alternatively click on 'merchants' and it lists them all in groups such as 'computers', 'shopping' etc. Click where you want and then click on the shop. I've not used it as much as some on here but have still had about £200 back over the last 18 months xx0 -
Thanx guys, feeling abit better now..... hoping to maybe try nd get something sorted tomorrow.

Hugs summermoon council's are carp, we didn't have a gas cooker pipe thing either which they also failed to tell me about  they also forgot to tell me about the asbestos ceilings  there was also no kitchen units in, apparently they only have to provide a sink base and one double unit which would have fallen off the wall if we'd blown on it, well flipping marvellous  I wont bore you with the rest of the things that are still wrong with this house, hope you manage to sort something out, enjoy your tea x
DD1's here now and wants the pc - laters lovelies :hello:0 -
SummerMoon- don't know if this would apply, but might be worth asking. We were once in Council with a similar problem and involved Shelter, who were very helpful. After all, we don't all have a microwave, "do we"? Which means you have no means of cooking a family meal without it causing severe financial hardship!!! which is what would happen if you had to fork out for an electric cooker (not that you would) or pay the gas board. BTW - the Gas Board came out very quickly, even though it was a weekend as we had a child. Certainly worth asking about, don't you think?DMP mutual support thread No: 433 - Mortgage - £54,556, Credit cards - £4012, Unsecured loan - £3,376, Other - £419
