Have to say that's a nice thing to think about ... I have been to wakes where there are children and they do see it as a party but at the same time if they are old enough I think it's important that they are included...it must have been so very hard for you AnWsMum. I think the shock of a sudden loss must have a massive impact...different when the person has been ill and the death is expected and, in a way, welcome IYSWIM

Couldn't agree more, Miss A was 6 at the time and when I had explained everything I asked what she wanted to do and immediately she said she wanted to go, which I thought was the best option so that she would not be scared by the unknown if that makes sense.

Later on when I had a meeting with the Coroner I told her where I was going and what his job was. Mum came to look after A & W while I went, whilst I was out A answered the phone and told the caller 'Oh Mummy has gone out to see the Coroner' :rotfl::rotfl:good job the caller was my FLO!

Won't clog the thread any more with this but if anyone wanted to know more of our story just have a peek at Stormybay's thread

I think I might treat myself and do a bit of knitting! I haven't done any for ages because I've been so busy with work, but I'm off sick so it's my time!:T And I did work hard in the den earlier. I'll say goodnight as I'll be sloping off to bed early again anyway with this stupid cold. Think I'll take a wheat bag with me too! Night all and hugs to everyone who needs or would like one. x
