was trying to find app smileys for all those that need the but comp no complying, so big hugs to all and lil_me, extra ones for you, again no words come to me
  • lil_me Poor poor you. That's so frightening, I understand the motivation to go and be 'the provider' BUT.... I do not understand being prepared to take that amount of risk, esp when you've got children. I'm so sorry you've got this to deal with now. I wonder if that's why he was being tetchy with you the other day????

Losing your old friend is like a warning shot across the bows isn't it?

Sorry lil_me, wish I had something constructive to say.

Sat here crying my eyes out, DPs just phoned. He's been offered a job and he's considering taking it. Working in a very hostile country. I can't stop crying. He's just bothered about the money. He's turning nasty with me on the phone saying I am trying to stand in his way of doing something. Sorry but damn right I am, I can't lie and say I am happy that he wants to do it. Sorry you lot don't need this but I have noone else to talk to about it. An old friend of mine was killed last year working for the same company, something that just makes me realise even more what hurt it can cause including for the children and partner he left behind. I just can't stop crying, it's upset me so much, I may say I hate his moods sometimes and other things like that but this is just awful, I can't describe in words how much it hurts that he's even thinking about it.
lilme - we are your friends - thats what we are here for - you are always there for everybody with your immense knowledge - of course you should speak to us - for starters I ams ending you a HUG hug and a box of tissues.

If you dont mind me saying his timing sucks - he could have waited until he could speak to you face to face - cant he understand how upset you would be and what about the children - doesnt he realise they will miss him - I dont know what he does or where he is going but yes these overseas contracts pay big money but at a price - they shouldnt be offered to family men IMO.

Can you sit down and speak to him tomorrow when you get home and tell him how afraid you are for what might happen to him and ultimately you and the boys? And he just expects to to get on with things in his absence - cope with all the family things - a bit selfish i would say - money isnt evrything.
I dont think you are standing in his way at all - he hasnt considered you or he would have asked you or spoken to you about the possibility of it first.

lil-me - huge hugs and prayers for you - that sounds really frightening. Maybe you can sit down with him and tell him what you've just told us - that you're scared and worried about what might happen to him, you and the children. Money is not the most important thing!

Thank you, I know if one of you told me the same thing, I wouldn't know what to say either. I just shudder at the thought of it, gone through a whole loo roll of tears (no tissues here) Going to stop myself being silly, I've told him exactly how I feel and he doesn't seem interested in the slightest, so nothing more I can do. To be honest he's useless at talking face to face so if I was going to get any sense it'd be on the phone, will have to just let him make his decision then decide what I do from there. Nothing more I can do about it. Emotional stuff, understanding how others feel and having empathy, is where his 'asd traits' stick out like a sore thumb.

More packing, I do better when I am in a bad mood. Just shows how little notice my sons take of emotion/facial expression if it's not pointed out because they haven't even noticed I am upset, sods law eh, I'm worried about upsetting them but they haven't even noticed me sobbing in the corner....
One day I might be more organised...........

    Evening everyone.

Not much flying done here so will catch up tomorrow on the bedroom.

Finished my night shift then went and got my hair cut.

Then decided to go into town and do some shopping. Went to bed when I came back.

Quite freaky weather here tonight. I had just walked past the landing window and thought someone was letting off fireworks as there was a flash of light. then heard a roll of thunder. There was hailstones earlier.

Lil_me Big hugs for you. A difficult and scary situation for you.

Pink Fairy Nice to see you back and good luck with the interview.

natty68 Hope you feel better soon.

pigpen Glad you found your bank card.

Mudbath Well done on the xmas shopping.

g&b Hope you are starting to feel better.

Summermoon. Hope you manage to get sorted with the new house. Fingers crossed for you.

Hugs to anyone else who needs one.
