Second an East London meet-up, in fact anyone interested in local foodie things should come along to this in Walthamstow this weekend. http://www.barbican.org.uk/music/event-detail.asp?ID=16303

Thanks Dippy, hope your head gets cleared soon xx

Toonie and mrsmortenharket once we had a small meet in Walthamstow, in the Hornbeam cafe, do you know it? Lovely place, amazing veggie good and fantastic community atmosphere. And they run a project about low cost living.

I shall be delighted to organise a meet there, perhaps late August or early September!

  • Am on holiday at the end of August. Would love to meet at some point though x

I used to get a meet going every couple of months but then ran out of steam for a few reasons, but now am back in shape and will try to organise more regular meets.

It is really lovely to meet so many like minded people in person, the feeling is always of a homecoming and they are such fun! I have made (hopefully) lifelong friends through these meets.

When are you back from holidays? There's no reason why we should not put a date in place for September after the 31st July meet has happened!

    Today is the day, BUMP!

As far as I know the people interested in coming are:

    Dippy Pud
    Annie123
    D&DD
    Trina
    Icey77 with baby Icey
    Purpleclutterbuck
    Amy
    Caterina (myself)

Don't worry about posting here if you are coming as I won't check the thread again today, just turn up, the venue is the restaurant at the Croydon IKEA, look out for a bunch of women laughing and swapping mags, books, yarn etc, probably some of us will be wearing a safety pin as a badge.

Sadly Icey and baby Icey won't be coming along, Frog started being under the weather yesterday afternoon and most of the night was spent up with her.

I now have all 3 changes of bed linen to wash and she won't be going to nursery today. I don't think it would be a great idea to put her in the car for a long drive around the M25 either I'm afraid :(

Really sad to miss you all again! I will keep an eye out for the next meet up and try again. Have an Ikea pastry for me xxx
