I would be interested if at the Westfield centre, Stratford, much easier for me to get to! Ages since I have been to a meet up! If not feb then later in Spring would be good for me Caterina!

I can make the date but the venues (apart from Croydon) are a bit expensive for me to get to, 1.5hr travel and almost a tenner railcard - spring might be better as Christmas bills should be paid by then

    Hi catznine andblossomhill

Thank you for your replies, I shall wait to see if there are any more responses and take it from there. No reason why we should not have TWO meets, one in Croydon and one in Westfield! See what others say, if there is any interest in either venue.

    Bump!

The date is set, I have heard from a couple of OSers on PM but still no majority on what venue is the preferred one. So I shall take the plunge and call it for Blackheath Age Exchange cafe.

They do lunches there, sandwich and soup, at very reasonable prices, it is fully accessible for disabled people, it is a nice space and it is a charity so it is good to support.

Catznine, can you make it as far as Blackheath?

blossomhill do you want to call an alternative meet in Ikea on a Saturday? As long as it is not 3rd Feb I should be ok for any date.

  • Blackheath is fine for me.

Right, Blackheath it is then. Looking forward to the first of (hopefully) many happy OS meeting in 2013!

On IPad now so not easy to type, later on will update with map and link to venue, meanwhile anyone interested can google "Blackheath Age Exchange Reminiscence Centre".

Hi Caterina, unless DD gets a job between now and then I can make Blackheath on 11th February around 1100.a.m. otherwise if she is working then I have to have my DGS before and after school so it would be a bit tight getting from Blackheath back home to meet them fromn school, but I may be able to wangle something I'll let you know nearer the time So the Age Exchange place has reopened I know it was shut for awhile as I was in Blackheath at the last half term with said grandsons.Great place to eat I enjoyed the soups there the parsnip and apple was delicious

Sadly I won't be able to make it this time, OH has the weekend off and as it something that only happens 1/5 weekends I can't really justify coming out to meet up with you all.

    Hopefully next time :) x
