Annie you can get the mat for LL then! Thank you!
The reason Annie is saying that she is shopping for me too is because Saturday 24th November is Buy Nothing Day, so I shall come along with my sandwiches and nuts, as well as a couple of tea bags and a mug (and will take advantage of the free hot water!). It is also the day that I am going to launch my blog and my year of no-inessentials spend!
I am really looking forward to meeting up again! Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
Happy to shop on anyone's behalf if I'm doing it anyway.0

vouchersrme is not coming, I heard from her the other day, nor is Dippy Pud as she is away, nor Lilac Lillie as she has visitors. But we will be joined by Amy, going to update first page now, see you all tomorrow! Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0

Another small but perfectly formed meet! Only four of us but as always we had a lot of fun putting the world to right!
Thank you Annie, Blossomhill and Amy for coming along and thank you for the various gifts and exchange bits and pieces.
Purpleclutterbuck you were missed, hope the cake came out ok!
D&DD you were also missed, hope you are ok! Let us know that all is well please.
This afternoon we have been exploring the possibility to have a pre-Christmas meet, is anyone interested? If so, can you please suggest days, times, etc.?Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
Best laid plans eh?? Ladies I'm so sorry we didn't make it, sudden bereavement which although expected happened so quickly put everything up the spout
:( Sad times..
Will fill you all in when I see you next XX0 -
Very sorry to hear about your loss D&DD. Always a very sad thing to lose someone close, no matter how expected. My condolences to the family.
Re. Meets we have had discussions about a Sunday catch up before Christmas, or other day if all in agreement. Any preference?
See you soon hopefully xFinally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
December is suddenly looking like a very short month! Will try and make whatever suits anyone else, with a bit of jiggling
I've had a chat with Brighton Belle about trying to do a Brighton, Sussex meet in the new year, possibly March, so please keep an eye out for any good new year rail promotions. Although this place is the queen of all things OS, along the coast a bit, (but has free seafront parking for anyone who could come by car), so may canvass in the new year to see which is more popularYou never know how far-reaching something good, that you may do or say today, may affect the lives of others tomorrow0 -
Hi all
I am afraid that by the look of it I cannot make any of the weekends in December. Please do organise one without me if you want, I keep saying this but it is not MY meet, it belongs to all the OSers and MSEers who want to meet!
I shall get back on the organising track after the New Year, meanwhile I hope you all have a very happy Christmas/Yule/Winter Season and a splendid New Year!
OMG I just realised, this is my first Happy Christmas greeting of the year

New SE London meetup alert!
Monday 11th February, from 11(ish). Venue to be confirmed but possibilities are:
1. The newly reopened Age Exchange cafe in Blackheath
2. The fish and chip shop in Lewisham, followed by coffee at the M&S cafe opposite
3. New venue: the top floor M&S cafe in Westfield Stratford, easily reached by train, bus, underground and DLR, very nice space, lots of comfy chairs, nice food and very friendly staff.
4. Croydon IKEA
Any takers?
BTW Happy New Year! Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
