Jackie it would be wonderful to see you again! My, you are OS Royalty! :-)
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Royalty me ?:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: that made me chuckle a bit, I am the most ordinary person you could ever meet :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I will do my best to get there ,complete with crown and sceptre :rotfl::rotfl:even if I have to bribe my DGS Ben to pick the boys up from school if DD is working
Seems ages since we had a good chinwag
Cheers JackieO xxx0 -
Icey sorry you can't make it, looking forward to seeing you and mini-Icey in the near future!
Jackie your "sceptre" e.g. Your colourful stick, remember you told me you bought it in the Isle of Wight, well when I went I got one each for my mum and my aunt, and hey both loved them. My mum told me she gets lots of compliments about how nice it is!Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
Bump!
The date is set, I have heard from a couple of OSers on PM but still no majority on what venue is the preferred one. So I shall take the plunge and call it for Blackheath Age Exchange cafe.
They do lunches there, sandwich and soup, at very reasonable prices, it is fully accessible for disabled people, it is a nice space and it is a charity so it is good to support.
Catznine, can you make it as far as Blackheath?
blossomhill do you want to call an alternative meet in Ikea on a Saturday? As long as it is not 3rd Feb I should be ok for any date.
Sorry too far out for me and complicated journey (m.e. brainfog would get the better of me) If a later meet is planned please let me know though! Had so much fun meeting so many os'ers including JackieO and Caterina last time!
Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

Sorry Catznine you won't be joining us this time. Please keep an eye on this thread, it is the one I resurrect when planning a meet.
Next time I shall certainly try to see if the Stratford one is feasible, because the cafe at M&S is really nice and spacious, it would be ideal, same with the top floor cafe t John Lewis. Both very welcoming, natural light (good for crafts) and reasonably priced food and drinks, but nowhere as cheap as the Blackheath venue though! Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
I would have loved to meet up but work , Monday, Tuesday and Weds am.
At the end of the week I am more flexible as work Bank/Agency so can choose. What a shame as my son has moved to Bromley and it isn't far away so could have combined it with a visit to him.
I hope you all have a great time.0 -
lizziebabe please subscribe to this thread to see when we have the next meet. We have fairly regular meets and some of these are in Croydon, that's not too far from Bromley, at the Croydon Ikea, sometimes on a Saturday. It would be lovely to meet you! Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0

Hi Caterina
Thanks I will subscribe but I actually live in Bath, so would have to make a bit of journey. I also have a friend in Purley but would combine it with a visit to my son who is in Bromley. Sounds complicated but it isn't really, what I am saying is I would love to meet up with you all but it would have to be towards the end of the week and I could combine it with seeing friends/family.0 -
Of course! Sometime in early Spring I shall put feelers out for a weekend meet in Croydon Ikea, unless people want to do it earlier, in which case please let me know by posting here. Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0
