I think we are allowed to mention sites so long as they have nothing to do with us, but if not no doubt the mods will remove my post, but I certainly have not set up an on-line e-cig store, be a good business to get into wouldn't it with it slowly but steadily gaining ground. Store I gave is the one I bought my riva and sd keyring from and I do love his whisky cream, oh yes I mentioned that - was awful yesterday when I went to order it and cc wouldn't go through and when I checked cc they said they were experiencing technical difficulties but thankfully by 4am they had sorted them so managed to order my whisky cream, oh gosh I just so adore that liquid, me who just over a week ago was convinced I would only ever vape tobacco flavours. Its terrible I have just used the last of it, have bottle sitting upside down to try and get last drip - mad I know I am totally mad.

My daughter phoned me last night and actually admitted she never thought I would last this long, she has always said I would never give up smoking, it must be the first time she has ever in her life she got something wrong - been worth giving them up just for that............

I don't know anything personally about the ego-C, there certainly is alot to take in when you start looking at vaping.

There is a forum which offers good advice to beginners at http://allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/index.cgi look in the beginners section.
You would get more of a varied response there, in your own thread, rather than here.

I think we're allowed to name brands on here. The Riva 1100 is often quoted as a decent starter e-cig, plenty of power and lasts a long time, smallish too, which is quite important to most new users. It's alot bigger than a normal fag, the same size as the one you said about.
Cartomisers, (the bit that holds the e-juice) are a good starting point, to go with the Riva. The alternatives, are an atomiser (I don't like them and they don't work as well as a cartomiser I think), or a tank (which is maybe slightly too advanced for a beginner)

I know of one place that changes the atomisers, that come with the basic Riva 1100 kit as std, for cartomisers if you ask. Pm me if you want the shop. Other shops may well do the same.

Of course, all you need to choose after that, is the juice you will use. Everyone seems to have different tastes re juices, so just read as many reviews as you can before you buy.

Yes the 'smoke is water vapour created by the pg or vg base ( vg is what is used in smoke machines, its vegetable glycerine, you can buy it in the chemist or in the baking section of a supermarket.) PG - is used in inhalers and other things, just cannot remember the name it stands for - lotus you have been at this longer than me what does it stand for again.

At the moment I am saying I will never get a mod, its to big and don't fancy a tank - should I say watch this space:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Not tried maple syrup - yet.

Am on the cherry brandy at the moment, right old boozer I am these days..........I started a blog fat, fifty and lazy maybe I should have called it fat, fifty and boozing :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Excuse my nuttiness i have been up over 24hrs and when I get over the 24 hr mark i start feeling as if I am drunk and act accordingly, but honest your honour I have not touched a drop, nothing stronger than :coffee:

Yeah as PAH says, it's basically water vapour, with a bit of flavouring, as you can sometimes smell something in the air when someone vapes and it is presumed a little nicotine may come out, although I don't think it's really known.

I never remember what PG stands for, something glycol I think. I did a post a while ago which had a decent link, hold on.

Hubby loves the smells of some of the liquids - he says the house smells so nice now, especially when i use the vanilla tabac, and the whisky cream but he says he has not noticed any smells so far from any of the others I have tried.

Oh I asked Jason if he couldn't sleep this morning as he processed my order before 8am, now that is what I call good customer service..........just a shame he cannot post it till tomorrow

have decided on the Riva 910 with cartridges, but where do I buy from,have been reading on forums about a discount from somewhere and jason/paula are the people to buy from, sorry but i have forgotten where I read this info.
Shopping list;
rivo 910
2 batteries
2 cartomisers LR/SR
bottles of liquid

Is this all I need to get started?

You'd be probably better off getting the 510 tbh, more things you can fit on it.

You'd need more than 2 carto's, get 5 of each.

Bottles of liquid yes, get 5ml or less to start with, a good selection of things you think you may like.

Get a drip tip as well, they make the whole experience of vaping with a carto better, they're not needed for anything apart from it's a nicer experience to put one of those in your mouth, instead of the end of the carto.

Why the 510 and not 910, more what things you can fit on it?
Seems very fiddly refilling the carto.
Which liquids would you recommend I try?I want a tobacco one(smoke silk cut purple) and an apple..any others ?
