Cheers, Everyone
It feels marvellous and no going back now.
Yes, I was wearing a patch and keeping in mind the possibility of over-doing it, but it's all a means to an end. I'll be reducing the patches from tomorrow.
Relatedly, the GP's receptionist was interested in the e-cig and asked me to email her some links to suppliers of e-cigs and juices with the idea of gettting her hubby to kick it.
Mmm... I've also found some suppliers in Ireland and the first supply of sample juices arrived today. I rather like the apple flavour0 -

I was a member there back when TW first got popular, shows how long ago it wasand got an account banned for being a supplier ? When all i did was post a couple of discount links. I recently went back there before I did my own HC buy as I saw a group of people who were wanting to get enough together to do a GB, and could have added them within my list. As I was already to the needed figure by myself.
Needless to say, they wouldn't let me on with my account or even a new one i created. I also found it obstructive that you can't comment on regular threads until you've posted x amount of posts in some beginner thread before they actually allow you to speak to people normally.
Often things come and go at very short notice, wait for it and the moments passed.
I'm not saying ecf isn't a good choice. And doesn't have lots of information on it, maybe infact a little too much. But if you want a better forum. I'd go with Aaec instead. I believe their policy is trust.
Ecf's too restrained for me. And I don't have the time or patience posting useless comments and info, just so can get back to the point intially intended too make.
I've never been a supplier, I spend my time hunting out the better value ones instead.0 -

Thanks for that, at the moment I am just a member of the AAE-Cs forum so be nice to chat with even more people who use e-cigs.
My GP was great when I told her on Monday I had stopped smoking and was using an E-cig and asked me all about it. She admitted she had seen a lookalike but didn't know to much about them. I picked up the mini drawer unit in a charity shop the other day, brand new for £2.50 and its perfect for keeping all my bits and bobs in. I had them all in a first aid box before and it mean I was always having to dig around for things and as I kept moving them there was a chance of lids being loosened. This way I can keep things together on their on shelf and if a bottle lid does get loose and liquid spills out its contained so easier to clean up - I always put a pair of disposable gloves on before I touch any liquids. It even has a little flat bottomed bowl tucked into the lid, so I use that now for filling up rather than kitchen roll on desk or side, so anything spilt it can be collected to be used or just washed away - but I don't like wasting any juice

Hey Prep, what's your favourite liquid out of that lot?0

My favourite is whisky cream by Grizwalds followed by Vanilla Tabac again by Grizwalds. Not to happy at moment went to order more Whisky Cream and paypal told me it cannot complete on my card, so checked and found credit card site had a message up saying it was experiencing 'technical problems' so could be anything from its been hacked to server problems, hope they sort it soon as am on the last bit of the juice.
It looks a lot but most of the bottles are only 5ml, a few 10ml and only one 30ml ( silver and gold, when I really want tobacco flavour I prefer that one),Need to get back to getting finances under control now kin kid at uni as savings are zilch

I need to re-try the Whiskey Cream, i've got a 5ml sample. I tried it my first week and it just seemed odd? I was still looking for a good tobac flavour then but now I'm a bit more open to new flavours! I like Griz's Vanilla Tobac too, have you tried the Black Cat?
Hope your CC company sorts out their issues soon! BTW love your 'vape box'!0 -
I am eager to stop my fag habit, soooo much info on here an still quite bewildered by it all.
Think I might go for one of these, anyone tried and still uses them, any recommendations for other kits for beginners?
Any help you can give would be appreciated, if you want to name brands then please pm me.
Thanks to all who reply.You live..You learn.:)0 -
Not tried that one, and looking on-line they are dear - I and a lot and I mean a lot of people either start with a lookalike but very quickly when they know better ( like me buy a Riva http://www.vapeescape.co.uk/search.asp?types=Deluxe+Vaping+Kits+%3E+Riva+1100+Kit - that is a link to an online shop, one of many that sell at decent prices and good service and most charge around the same price. If you look at the photos in my post that shows all my bits and bobs you will see a gold long barrel next to a small silver barrel that has a black thing in it. The gold barrel is the Riva 1100, its manual, you press a button when you want use it, very easy to get the hang of, and the small silver one is automatic its the SDKeyring and it works like a real cig you suck in and get a hit, it comes with cartomisers prefilled so you don't have to mess about with liquid from the get go - have a look at the things on the site, I promise I am only a customer ( I adore their whisky cream) and if you want will pm you other sites you can get good quality products at good prices - you are like I was looking around the web and not realising there are really good specialist stores selling the same things as these other stores but for far, far less ( my first e-cig was a gamucci from prezzybox, it was a lookalike, two weeks later after learning more I had my riva).
Any help I can give you on here or through pm don't hesitate to ask, I am one total convert I went from smoking daily for nearly 35 years to zero as soon as I put my first e-cig in my mouth, if they can make me give up they can help anyone I believe, but will only help if someone wants it, although I admit when I see smokers outside now I want to rush up and say please try an e-cig can you just picture this mad fifty odd woman rushing round shoving e-cigs in smokers mouths :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Need to get back to getting finances under control now kin kid at uni as savings are zilch

I don't know anything personally about the ego-C, there certainly is alot to take in when you start looking at vaping.
There is a forum which offers good advice to beginners at http://allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/index.cgi look in the beginners section.
You would get more of a varied response there, in your own thread, rather than here.
I think we're allowed to name brands on here. The Riva 1100 is often quoted as a decent starter e-cig, plenty of power and lasts a long time, smallish too, which is quite important to most new users. It's alot bigger than a normal fag, the same size as the one you said about.
Cartomisers, (the bit that holds the e-juice) are a good starting point, to go with the Riva. The alternatives, are an atomiser (I don't like them and they don't work as well as a cartomiser I think), or a tank (which is maybe slightly too advanced for a beginner)
I know of one place that changes the atomisers, that come with the basic Riva 1100 kit as std, for cartomisers if you ask. Pm me if you want the shop. Other shops may well do the same.
Of course, all you need to choose after that, is the juice you will use. Everyone seems to have different tastes re juices, so just read as many reviews as you can before you buy.
Good luck and don't hesitate to ask any silly questions.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0
