Did you get that with tobacco smoking too, or do you think it's the make-up of the fluid?
Although both my RY & AV4 say 30/70% GV/PV ratio the AV is so so so much sweeter, tastier and vaporful (<< is that a word?) whilst the RV is a throat hitter. So AV fits a GV vaping profile whilst the RV a more PV.
The gum shrinkage >>> nicotine thing; had the same thing but worse using one of those early Nicorette inhalers, even the chewing gum was a not quite right.
Never had an issue with my gums (well not like this) smoking rolling tobacco.
I'm of the same view as brook2jack on the purpose of these things and gum disease as well.
So..... I've got some RV4 left so I'll experiment with straight and a mix of the 2 to see if it helps.0 -
I have been using the ego-t e-cig for some time now around 15 weeks I was a 40 a day smoker probably nearing on 50 some days, I have had 34 years of smoking and decided I really needed to do something about it I have tried the patches the gum going cold turkey and even being hypnotised and all failed, since purchasing my ego-t I have not had a single puff on a traditional cigarette.
I see lots of anti's slating smoking of any sort but some of you need to realise just maybe we don't actually want to smoke, 10 or so years ago smokers were the majority everyone seemed to smoke, right or wrong we have to live with that choice, and electric cigarettes offer a possible solution to get out of that rut.
For me using an E-cig has had many benefits its no miracle cure I don't think one exists, but I save around £15.00 a day my wife tells me my breath no longer smells and neither do my clothes, I no longer wheeze all night in my sleep, I don't have nicotine stained fingers anymore, but most importantly I can take a full breath again I don't get tired walking a simple flight of stairs, I suffer no gum issues,
They may well be untested in the UK but smokers would be taking on board nicotine regardless, if you buy the liquids made by companies like Hangsen who work to strict guidelines and not back street mixers you cut the risk massively, the problem I see now are places like Ebay selling liquid at unrealistic giveaway prices these are mostly back garden manufacturers who are mixing this stuff and re bottling, this is a dangerous game. buy your liquids that are made by big reputable companies.
I don't see the UK government sanctioning the use of these products for a long time to come because right now they are reeping in taxes by the million per day.
However there was an article in todays Daily mail that suggests E-cigs are a safer option that article can be found on page 30 and information came from The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence.
for me they have been a plus plus product.0 -

Cheapest way I found to try and see if vaping is for me.

I got this and was very pleased with it, highly recommended if you just want to trying e-cig out, still haven't seen anything cheaper.
However I've since learn a bit more about e-cig.
I thought Ego was the brand, but these are actually generic, unbranded e-cig using the Ego system.
The brand names that I keep hearing of are: Vision, Innokin, Joye, so I'll do a bit more research on those and next time buy branded gear. I don't know if all of these brands are Chinese, if they are I'll be looking at buying directly from a reputable Chinese source, as I do for Chinese tea.
(also Kanger and Boge are mentioned a lot, but I'm not sure that they are compatible with the battery above, Kanger in particular seems larger, and you may like it if you want a bigger e-cig holding more liquid).
Here's a helpful glossary as well: http://www.ecigology.com/e-cig-glossary/
Someone else may add to this information, and I'm sure it's all been said lots of times, but if you are totally new like I me you don't even know what to look for
Also in case this is helpful to anyone else, a friend asked me to find them an electronic pipe, and this site, they post from Holland but people say they get their stuff very quickly (and postage to UK is free, with no minimum order).

I am loving how our house now smells. During a particularly heavy vaping session on Friday night, with us both on the BLM juice, our lounge smelled like an exotic Egyptian shisha bar, but within a very short time all smell had gone.
Thanks for the recommendation, I ordered some liquids from there last week, including the BLM. Very impressed with the choice available and the mixes.
Liquorice Menthol is my new favourite at nearly two thirds less for 30ml than my previous supplier!0 -

You are welcome. Out of all the online liquid stores, this is definitely the cheapest but the quality is great. They will also make up liquid to order - e.g. if you want a different PG/VG ratio - at no extra cost (may just take a day or so longer to arrive). I won't bother buying liquids anywhere else.DMP Mutual Support Thread member 244

Thanks for this link - I've ordered two of them! I have the larger 1100 ego-C and wanted something a bit smaller, but love the way it works. I've seen other sites selling these exact same blister packs for £21!! Two for £7 each plus £1.50 P&P is definitely good value!
PS as of 10pm tonight, it's been 4 weeks since I've had a real ciggie and I'm sooooo happy I discovered e-cigs!!DMP Mutual Support Thread member 244

Well done! :T
I have to say that I'm really happy with the set, great bargain.
I bought some clearomizers from another store, and they have fallen apart in my hands, several things went wrong with them. So annoying.0 -

Thank you! If these are good I might order a couple more at that price. I haven't had to buy new clearomisers yet but I know I really should get some as I've re-filled my current ones about 8 times now. Can you recommend any please?!! I'm still very much a novice at all this! Do I also need to buy spare wicks??DMP Mutual Support Thread member 244

I can't sorry, I only bought this kit and those useless ones, I'm very new too.
From looking at several websites, forums etc, I'd say these are the cheapest around.0
