Selling UK Car on eBay - Irish buyer

Yes, you are missing something. Belfast is in the UK.
It is also in Ireland and if you address something to them it will be sent to Belfast, Ireland and then a postcode. It does not go to Belfast UK then postcode.
The Irish are justly proud of their heritage and trying to pretend that Ireland as an entity does not exist is bound to anger. Try telling a someone from Inverness that they don't come from Scotland and see how well they take that!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I think you should read more.
No. Belfast is in Nothern Ireland, a constituent country of the United Kingdom. It is not in Ireland, although it is on the island of Ireland and has a land border with Ireland. It is also in Ireland
No. If sending a letter from Scotland, you should write the address as Belfast, postcode. Simple as that.and if you address something to them it will be sent to Belfast, Ireland and then a postcode. It does not go to Belfast UK then postcode.
Of course, and there are Irish people living in Belfast and other parts of Northern Ireland and in the rest of the UK.The Irish are justly proud of their heritage
Of course Ireland as an entity exists. Belfast, however, is not in Ireland.and trying to pretend that Ireland as an entity does not exist is bound to anger.
Of course.Try telling a someone from Inverness that they don't come from Scotland and see how well they take that!0 -
Well I think the Belfast tourist board may well disagree with you as they claim Belfast is the second biggest city in Ireland.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I was born in the Royal Victoria in Belfast, still have a Northern Ireland accent despite leaving there 22 years ago, and I HATE being called Irish...!
To put it closer to context, it's like asking somebody from Inverness what part of England they are from! The countries may be joined by a border, but are separate constitutional entities.
*promises to sit down with Soolin and tell her all about the history of the division of Ireland at some point...!<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -

Best Offer is "supposed" to be anonymous, but it is easily worked around.
You can see the feedback comments of the person making the offer, so have a scn through to see anything unique, like a spelling error, unique phrase, or something like "thank you for shopping with ZootHornRollo". Make a note of the date and time it was left.
Google that exact phrase with "quotation" marks around it, and it will show you the seller who left it for that buyer.
Go to that sellers' "Feedback Left For Others" tab, and search down to that date and time as above, and you will see the unhidden ID. It's then a simple case of using the Contact A Member.
As above, (and before the political issue arose!) it is not uncommon for people to travel long distances to buy a vehicle - especially from Belfast, as from memory car prices are slightly higher over there due to reduced supply, especially with specific models such as your own.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -
You keep referring to "the Irish buyer", yet the guy is in Belfast.

em... i think you will find i referred to 'the irish buyer' once in the thread in order to differentiate between them and the 'mainland buyer'. i also used it in the title... once.
northern ireland is in ireland. hell they even adopted its name as part of their own name!
i know three people from n. ireland who all call themselves.... wait for it.... ...irish!
i also know some black people who refer to themselves as black. i even know english people call themselves english. and none of them have ever taken offense when i called the irish, black or english. you, my friend, are a victim of the PC brigade gone mad... its people like you that cause problems by objecting when someone describes you by a slightly different adjective to what you want to be called. life is too short. The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits0 -
On the island of Ireland, not in the country of.
(But sure what would we know, we only live here!)
would that not make them irish?
i was born in scotland, raised in scotland and live in scotland. but i don't kick off at everyone who calls me british. The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits0
