hmm, not sure. you can remove all the added extras and it's still £499 - suggesting it might be a premium...

nah, I reckon they have just set that package at a default price of £499, no matter whether you take the games out or not, to stop people just trying to buy the core by itself.

there must be a way around the RRP being £279.99 that will show that they are overcharging.

This is obviously NOT a platinum version as it lists as one of the package deals the "silver tray" extra, which you can buy for £15 to make your CORE (which this is) look like the Prem pack.

Just because something is so limited in stock please do not try and convince yourself it's something it's not, otherwise when it arrives you will be bitterly disapointed as you've just spent £500 on a core pack with what seems a very poor "bundle" of kit with it.

I have told my twelve year old to wait for the ps3 not a happy boy ,claims ps2 games will not be compatible (he has nearly 50 games) so he mayaswell get a 360.What gets me is he spends on average 2hrs a week playing so why bother(not that I would encourage him to play more)

Your twelve year old is having your trollies down LOL even playstation 1 games will work on the PS3.Thats the reason Sony are number 1 in this market.I was suprised they left the launch of the PS3 so long but i also suppose thats to do with the PSP which is fantasic.I also have told my kids we will wait for the PS3, knowin it will be well worth the wait.:)

If the currys one is delivered and its not the premium one you can phone up telling them you want the preium pack as the picture advertising the deal is of the premium pack with the hard drive and cordless controlpad otherwise they will get into trouble for false advertising.
