I have told my twelve year old to wait for the ps3 not a happy boy ,claims ps2 games will not be compatible (he has nearly 50 games) so he mayaswell get a 360.What gets me is he spends on average 2hrs a week playing so why bother(not that I would encourage him to play more)

I think I read that the games will be backwards compatible.

I'll have a quick hunt around.

    ah ha

Sony Computer Entertainment spokesperson Reiko Sakamoto

"It’s hard to say the PlayStation 3 will be 100 percent backwards compatible but as we said earlier this year we aim to make it so as much as possible," Sakamoto said,

the cores are going for between £250 - £300 on EBay. I just sold mine for £295.

One thing i did though was watch every auction (core) for the last half hour leading up to mine finishing. I saw one guy win 3 auctions and another win 2, i think they are either trying to push up prices or just sabotaging peoples auctions.

Either way when they tried to bid on mine theor bid was cancelled and then their user ids blocked; fookers!!
  • I found offering local collection far better, I got offers to deal off ebay (saving around £12 in fees) and if they do come and collect it saves on another £12 paypal fees.

I sold mine for £320 (core system), no extra fees, no nothing. Think I'm gonna buy myself a psp, got a great review on the Gadget Shop last night.

Only thing is, Woolworths MAY be sending my ahrd drive 2moro, I guess that is going straight on ebay
  • when you think about it?

what did people do before ebay?

probably just bought stuff for presents maybe......
  • Never mind ebay what did we all do without the internet ?

    I wouldnt cope.

Searching for premium xbox 360s has become an obssesion

    Me too.

I've got a BOT watching 2 URL's on Argos's website for the Premiums coming back online. Its been running since last Saturday afternoon. The laptop is left on, beside the bed and if a change occurs.... dingaling dingaling... went off at 3-4am this morning. Woke our 7 month old boy in the room next door so I'm in the bad books for that.

If anyone wants a txt, at anytime of the day, when the magical button reappears PM me your mobile number and I'll happily do so.

    Still, the hunt goes on.
