So, your only chance now is to grab all your paperwork and read through it, see what it says. And get yourself a good contract solicitor to see if there's anything in there that can get you out of it. Maybe paying the £15k grand hit is the quickest/cheapest way out.
What PN said, times a lot.
You need proper, independent legal advice sharpish....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
sorry...who will be after me....i was thinking it'l be just the bond company....the developer surely can sell elsewhere if i pull out???
It depends on the contract, and circumstances. We don't know what they are, which is why you MUST have proper advice, soon.
The potential worst-case scenario is that the developers sell them for less than the contract with you, and come after you for the shortfall.
Get advice. Now....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
ive made an appointment already for next week....hopefully they'll be able to sort sumin out for me....other than that by the opinion of everyone, looks like im in a deep hole....trying to stay positive
With whom have you made an appointment, though? With a proper independent solicitor who knows this area of law well, I hope?...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
You might have an option here to sue the property club for professional negligence on the grounds of special knowledge and responsibility, but just as everyone else here has said - speak to a solicitor.
People have to be solvent to be worth suing, though....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

Call a legal professional.
Not at all. We can't possibly give detailed advice, because at the very least, we don't have the contracts in front of us, and that's just for starters.
But we can say, as is essential, that the OP needs to grab those contracts and get proper advice on them ASAP....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

That applies to the OP, too, of course. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
Oh dear. If buying multiple flats that haven't even been built yet isn't gambling then I don't know what it.
Next time, buy a lottery ticket instead0 -

Next time, buy a lottery ticket instead"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -

It does indeed, but the OP mentioned a family house, which is why he must protect himself with proper advice ASAP....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0
