Just spoke to KE/ING and they said they will be calling people til 8pm tonight! Spoken to a girl called Nicky who said that they ONLY get in touch with a personal call when they have something concrete to say.
Got a blanket email this morning saying that they are aware some payments haven't been made - apparently that is the "personal" response until they have a concrete answer.

If this has been posted before - sorry. Extract from article in last Fridays Times about Isle of Man depositors planning legal action . Highlighted the bit that caught my eye.

"A third legal action is set to be launched against E&Y by 30 IOM depositors who attempted to recover their savings before kaupthing-SingerIOM was put into liquidation by the Islands financial regulator on Oct 9, but were caught by the UK Government's decision to order clearing banks not to process transactions involving Icelandic-owned institutions"

If this is so, that might explain why 7th/8th oct tranfers stalled.

I've just phoned KE again and I'm told that I won't be getting any money today as there is a problem with the clearing bank????? Fay, the girl who took my call, read me out an e-mail that I was "going to receive shortly". Basically it is just the same as the one some of you received earlier today.
Really p****d off and frustrated and probably a little afraid!

Still waiting for my money 3.5k I have just received an e.mail I expect is copied from yours. Recently spoke to a very unhelpful "customer service advisor"????????? and got nowhere.

No-one mentioned an email when I called....just said I would hear from someone in '48 hrs'...that's up tomorrow morning...if I only count from the call I made yesterday and ignore all the others. It's adding insult to injury to make it an 0845 number, isn't it?
