Really p****d off and frustrated and probably a little afraid!
I just called to ask what COB means in the banking world, before he answered he told me the same as you that there is a problem with a clearing bank and that I probably wouldn’t see the transfer go through tonight
I recon there’s something going on with E&Y and prioritising payments, I still reckon there is a funding issue but that said, Darling stated “no money whatsoever will be lost” so I wait another day!
ING Spokesperson, any comments ?0 -

Good luck it must be a huge relief to have finally got your money back. By your post count you have been here a long time.
I myself am still waiting for the promised phone call or e-mail, have phoned three times since friday.. however I remain optimistic, at least we have had some positive results today, if only two to date. Lets hope this is the start of a surge.Chaps requested 8th October : money left my account 8th October : £20 chaps fee deducted : destination account Halifax : Chaps fee of 20 re-funded to my KE account 27th October but dated 8th October: On the spreadsheet and received generic e-mail 29th October. Funds paid to my linked account 4th November0 -

Also phone KE and also told me that the problem is with the clearing bank and that someone will still call me by 8pm today with further explanations.
I think I know what they are going to tell us... they are just going to play the blame game "it's the clearing bank, not us; hence, don't know when you're going to get your money"... just watch0 -

I shouldn't think so, it's a very shy and rare species.0 -
A few of us who have called KE were told that we'll be still getting a phone call by tonight 8pm with an explanation.
Unless they tell us something in the lines of "we've got your money and should be in your nominated account within normal bacs/chaps transfer days", I think we should take proactive action. A few alternatives:
1) contacting BACS/CHAPS directly and submit a complain: 3 weeks and counting to receive a transfer it preposterous.
2) contacting Financial Ombudsman Service: we are all being left in the dark with regards to our money and ING's response is slow and insufficient.
3) contacting the media.
4) Any others?0 -
Although I have thankfully received my money today - I am totally disheartened for the rest of you, I really thought the problem had been identified and KE/ING and administrators were finally trying to put things right!
ING/KE/Administrators - some of you should lose your jobs and go into the torture business.0
