aha! somebody has got to stage 1 with a FTB closure - further on than I who wait for migration to the 'easy access' (lol) account. With the latest interest rate news could still be tempted to leave it... by the time you get it back there'll be no decent fixes left available...:mad:

UNBELIEVABLE - have logged in to see if everyone had got their money and what we were going to do next re chaps refunds to find that SOME OF YOU ARE STILL WAITING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! On principle I am not prepared to even enquire about my interest nor chaps payment refund until you are ALL reimbursed, just consider myself extremely lucky that mine came through and grateful for all the support I received. Still routing for you, but totally staggered that this farce still hasn't ended.....

Alastair Hemmings response email to me was just the same as everyone else received.

He didn't address the main point of my email to him, where I explained that I need MY money returned to fund my impending mortgage payment.

jemimapd - most here have now had their chaps fees refunded. They've gone back into our KE accounts so check there to see.

Thanks for the info - so have just checked as have my husband and daughter - all three of us made chaps payments on 6th/7th october and got the money back eventually when the floodgates opened for us all - but no, no chaps refunds, but at the moment I'm certainly not whinging on here considering the mess they have still left some of you in.

I called KE yesterday as I'm STILL waiting for my CHAPS transfer that I made on the 8th to Barclays. I was told that I was one of a 'handful' of people still waiting. Also that someone would call me in the next 48hrs. When I asked when I would get my money, I was told they could put no time scale on that! Any comments?

Same as jemimapad, funds back, but no CHAPS refund, which I'm not in the slightest interested in pursuing at present until all here have their main funds recovered.

By chasing at this point, someone at KE/ING will need to look into it; let's just have them concentrate on the main business in hand.

PS, I've turned into a lurker...........
