I still can't quite realize how close I came to losing 100k. Am still shocked. Even though i have my money back am still thinking about what could have happened if the government hadn't stepped in. I imagine the people with deposits with KE IOM must be terrified.

Well, I wonder what yarns they're going spin for us this week! Can't wait to see what they've got to say for themselves now. I wonder who this magic 'phone call's supposed to coming from during the next couple of days. Bit like the Wizard of Oz I expect, like when Dorothy pulls back the curtain to reveal a somewhat underwhelming person operating things, instead of some almighty God that she'd expected to see!

Very, very concerning statement from ING spokeperson. They are “investigating with the clearing agent and receiving bank”; in other words: “we’ve done our part, we will make an effort to begin discussions with the clearing agent and receiving bank, but as far as we are concerned, our part is done. You, the depositor, will eventually have to chase this with them. They lost your money, not us”.
