One bit of good news if any of you have Icesave money too - the compensation system has been done for that.

    Martin

At this rate I'll get my money from Icesave sooner that I'll get it from KE*/ING*/Administrators* (*take your pick of whichever bunch of incompetant losers are responsible for this mess).

Have checked that linked bank account details are correct (re someone's earlier post that their details were incorrect), and all's corrrect with them.

KE had the wrong sort code down for me, and even after I sent them recent statements from my liked account to prove they had got the wrong sort code, it wasn't changed, I didn't notice and did a bacs transfer on 26/9 before all the problems started. Still not seen that bacs yet - very worrying.

I have the same problem and have been trying from 07/10 to get it changed. Plenty correspondence but no action. We will be the last to get any money. Hang in there!

    How many are still waiting?

This is getting ridiculous. I really hope you get your money soon!

On 22 Oct I initiated 2 BACS xfers of £100 each from our 2 KE accounts to Smile - both now show in Smile accounts.

BACS is working OK (it seems).

Glad some have received - but can understand how those still waiting must be very frustrated. The only consolation is that as the backlog is reduced it will become easier for KE/ING Administrators/whoever to trace xfers.

BUT that will only happen when manpower is not clogged by people ringing every 2hours, IMHO.

Some have asked what to do with funds - have now put £50k into one Instant Saver account at Tesco Finance (their own financial licence) at 6.5% for first year with instant easy internet access.
    Be careful. Belongs to RBS!
  • Up till now I've not been hassling KE/ING directly (no pun intended), apart from one phone call a little over a week ago; on basis they had a problem, they knew they had a problem and they were working through it (albeit nowhere near fast enough). Instead I've made about 5-6 phone calls to my receiving bank, after first checking online, to check whether they could see a transfer in the BACS queue for credit in the next 24 hours.

However, yesterday reading the latest posts I was beginning to get the impression that the outstanding no receivals may by real exceptions. So I've just phoned ING. This has reinforced my impression that there may well be a batch of transactions that, for whatever reason, they simply don't know have not been received, and are reliant on, or relying on, customers to tell them about.

I would suggest to anyone who is missing money and hasn't yet done so - and maybe I'm the only one who hasn't previously done so - to call ING and make them aware.

I concur with this have spoken to my bank nothing for today or Monday.
Contacted KE (taken details) this morning now awaiting ING to open, closing down the lot. (leaving a pound in each account.).

Have spoken to KE 08451313234 this morning, even though A H at ING is already supposed to have alerted the Administrators about missing money. As no explanation has been given, it can only mean that even the Administrators don't have a clue why the transfers haven't gone through. I've double checked with account details and all is in order. I wonder if the person who dealt with my closure request was the same person who dealt with all other missing transactions?
  • Morning all!
Will be perusing the threads but trying not to clog them up.
The situation is hard to take for those who have not got their own savings yet. Please try not to get overly wound up and upset as the situation stays the same regardless of whether we are wound up or not.
I only say this as this is how I deal (and dealt) with things, not to teach granny to suck eggs! Sometimes it's better for our well being to accept we can do nothing until such time arises that we CAN do something. (trust me I'm a ......!)
Good luck and thinking of you all
